Cannot agree with the reviewer's strong distate for a Peter-Alicia reconciliation. Th Kings' portrayal of this marriage in all its ramifications is interesting, plus Peter has tons more chemistry with Alicia than Will does. Will is a good colleague but a totally meh love interest as far as I am concerned. And if the model for the Good Wife's marriage is that of Bill and Hillary Clinton it should be noted that however it may look from outside their relationship, for them it works and is based on an abiding respect and love. Peter, like Bill Clinton, had (or has) a hard time keeping his fly zipped but no trouble identifying whom he loves.

lose this husband of kalinda, it is boring and waste of air time. More Cary please, he is one of their best characters and they arn't using him at all. STOP THE BANKRUPTCY SILLINESS!!!! it is distracting and again, wasting valuable air time when they should be focusing on trials, where alicia really shines and kalinda digs out information. TGW lost it's way last year with that stupid willicia nonsense will being suspended (STUPID)and is now drifting further off track. I like the flirting between alicia and peter and for once having a family get back together would make it much better.

Kudos to Nathan Lane for the restraint he is demonstrating playing this character. It's great to see comedic actors step out of their box and get serious, using every bit of their inherent likability, as well as the good "acting chops" developed over a varied career. Excellent casting choice and he is unexpectedly good! Diane is no one to mess with and we continue to see that in her professional yet take no prisoners personality! The Good Wife has very well-rounded characters; we not only know them well, but we care about them! Now all we need is a little more "David E. Kelly" in the writing, particularly on the points of law. Let's have some cases that matter, even mirror many of the legal questions facing us today. As for Alicia's relationship...well, that's for her to decide but isn't it interesting how many opinions are out there about this situation? I don't give two F's in chinatown about what people think about Alicia and Peter they need to go backwards and make things right again. This bed hopping by Alicia and not Peter is the reason to back up and see what they are ruining their lives and also the kids too. The story line has revenge written all over it not moving on, it is a proven factor in life that a person going back into the work force makes themselves very vunable when treating family as second class people. i have seen to manny couples screwup their marriages between ages 26 to 45 because one or the other can't keep their legs closed when after work at happy hour which they shouldn't be at. I too am sick of Kalinda putting up with Nick but abused wives do that! That's why she had to go away and change her name. It is annoying but I trust the Kings to sort this out. I'd love it if Kalinda was using Lana--Lana used the power of her office to "chase" Kalinda and being Gay, I learned to hate her for it. She has a little comeback coming back! go Kalinda!

I am in agreement with everyone - enough with the horrible Kalinda storyline - use Cary more - hate Alicia and Peter - love Diane and Will - and think Nathan Lane is doing a superb job as the Trustee -

Episode 1 was back to form, but Kalinda and her ex are just boring, boring, boring.
Cary is doing so very little. As the newest lawyer, albeit a returnee, wouldn't he be surplus to requirements in the eyes of the accountant and be shown the door?
Can't the writers ditch all the internet cases - rich internet bullies are all the same.

I'm very very over Kalinda's husband and this rubbishy storyline. Kalinda has been a bore this season (she used to be my favourite) and the 'evil husband' is not just a cliche, but a bad one too. They need to dump it and soon. TBH, this season has no real 'centre' and is flailing about like a fish out of water.

I loved all the characters in TGW. It was my favorite show. But I dont like where season 4 is heading at the moment. I dont like to watch Kalinda's personal drama. I dont like how Alicia goes back and forth with Peter. I thought it was selfish as she went from one extreme to another in a short time. It showed immaturity. Will and Dianne are great lawyers. Will is as usual superb when he is in court. I was a Willicia fan as I thought their attaction to each other was beyond words. But it is now obvious that Alicia has a different agenda. In real life, I dont think an available bachelor like Will will hhng on to Alicia. So, I dont care anymore. I wish the creators could make season 4 better.

I think that Peter and Alicia should have a second or third go of things. Yes he did inexcusable things but he has changed, he will never do it again and he is a good father, other than the fact he did hookers. He will be good to Alicia and let her have what she wants. I think that Will and Alicia is far too complicated for words. Even though he loves her, she does not love him the same way. Maybe she would have loved him that way if she never married Peter but she did. Plus its obvious from the way she was with Will when she asked him about being at a hotel on that day. She was more concerned that it did happen on that day and it would hurt Peter. Not Will or her but Peter.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... The Kings need to give Lockhart Gardiner a win. Seriously. It's so irritating already that every week they just get more deeper into crap. I know that their financial woes can't just be turned over night but a step in the right direction should be better than having no wins at all. While it was hillarious to watch how people took their being fired, its so sad that good lawyers are being treated so bad.
I love how Kalinda got the upper hand on that freak of a husband. But I still think Jimmy Mistry would have made a better husband.

This Kalinda-Nick storyline needs to be handled better, but then again maybe we are being impatient. I hope the writers have some plot that is going to make us go woahhh.
Personally I have always liked Marc Warren (Nick), he was very good in 'no night is too long' and also now in hustle. Unfortunately TGW has not utilized him properly so far, hope that will improve.
Poor Cary - couldn't they give him some court scenes at least? They should use him, he is great. This peter-will-alicia thing has gone one too far. I think Alicia should divorce and move on. Will and Alicia don't work - Will seems to want more, would have liked to meet her kids - but she was never into that. It seemed that she only wanted a little affair with no repercussions. So there is no will-alicia. It's best for everyone that they all move on.

I, like some other viewers like the legal battles, the politics and I can even understand Alecia and Peter conflict. They've been married for years and have two kids, also despite all their problems they seem to enjoy and depend on each other. I am so sick of Kalinda's sexual escapades. I hate the husband, sicko sexual storyline. She is really turning into a sick joke. The clothes, boots and make-up are so over the top. I liked it when she was just a great investigator who used flirting & half promises to get info. I love Diane, miss Cary having a storyline, like Will but think he's kind of spoiled & self centered. The new Trustee is very interesting & I liked the Judge for the case last night. He made me smile.

I enjoyed the twists and turns of the trial, especially the judge in Will and Felicia's case. I'm not liking the Kalinda storyline, I wish she would have more interaction with Cary. I'm a Will & Felicia fan and I was really bummed with this episode. I understand Felicia wanting to get back her "perfect life and family" that she had with Peter but you cant always go back and theirs a reason for that. Im not saying that Peter cant and hasnt changed BUT their was a reason that he stepped outside of his marriage not once but twice and they have yet to discuss why he did so beside him being a sleezebag. And when she rewarded Peter for telling the truth with a kiss, i was making a grab for the trash can to throw up, When she was talking to Will about the hotel stay, she was so caught up with them being found out that she did it realize that Will tried to reach out to her. I too am a Peter fan, Will is not competion in my opinion. But yes Kalinda is not the same her husband is not what I expected at all, and Lana tried to screw Kalinda over and nearly got her killed by involving her with that drug dealer mess, she gets whatever comes her way.

I couldn't disgree with you more about Alicia and Peter. If he really has changed, how is Alicia taking a big step backwards by staying married to him. You are like every other Peter hater who comments on TGW. The man should rot in Hell for what he did and you will always think that, no matter what happens. It's really getting kind of ridiculous. And as far as "St. Alicia" having done nothing wrong with "moving on" as you say with Will. If there was nothing wrong with it why was she and Will so sneaky about the affair? Because sleeping with soemone you work with, especiallu your boss, is a really stupid idea. And she jumped in the Will with him only days after kicking Peter out because he had slept with Kalinda years before (when Alicia didn't know her)and didn't come clean about it.
