Vampire hunters with some sort of mythic history, "potentials" somehow picked by destiny? Hello Buffy Season 7. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I'm actually looking forward to this story developing and seeing what happens to Jeremy.

I am glad to hear that Katherine will be back (and I never thought I would say that). The thing about a good villan is that they always keep you guessing. When Katherine was around for the beginning half of season two she lost some, actually a lot of her mystery and intrigue (especially when she started attacking Elena's family, and even tried to kill Elena, which did not make sense as she was planning to turn her over to Klaus) I actually liked her better in Season Three when she was keeping her distance and working with Damon. He might not be able to stand her but they made a good team. i think Rebekah should mistake Katherine for Elena and find out how clever she really is.I hope the Five do not turn out to be as big a disappointment as some of the Orginals.

Hoping Katherine is back sooner rather than later. And I'm really excited for what this season might hold for Jeremy and I'm glad to hear it's going to be big and possibly his biggest storyline yet. Also excited to see where the Elena as a vampire stuff goes.
Not as happy to hear Bonnie's mom is coming back, one of the worst characters the show's ever had (her "son" Jaime on that list as well so hopefully he's not back with her). I'm hoping this Shane guy and bringing in her father might actually make Bonnie a semi-interesting character for once, because right now she's neck and neck with Matt (who's as boring as they come) as the worst characters on the show and I have zero interest in her or her story arc.

Please don' tell me it's going to be Damon doing all the work again, saving Elena, them getting together for a short time, then in the end Stephen does one thing that makes him seem like the hero and she goes running back to him. That has been happening for awhile. Damon always saves Elena but Stephens way always seems like the best in the end. I hope I am wrong.

Damons reality is the most rational reality! For the love of all good in this world!! This is soooo true..finally they let the cat out of the bag. Damon will finally get the recognition he deserves. We have watched him change 150 different freakin ways and if you can't see that..then there is something you are missing from the show. It all boils down to one thing..for the love of a woman.

This show is great! Julie works hard and obviously goes her job well because the show is fun and interesting and popular! I am excited for Vampire Elena, she is becoming more of her own person and I feel ready for her to be more capable of protecting herself and having desires and interests that confuse her. That actually happens in real life, and if Stefan is her soulmate, fine...but I love watching Damon push her to explore herself. Also, YAY Bonnie and Matt screen time!

I like this season aside from the Caroline/Klaus storyline and Bonnie's storyline. The triangle has definitely grown tiring, but I am glad Elena is a vampire the plot revolves less around her human life being in constant (outrageous) danger! It is nice to see her on equal "vampire" footing with the Salvatores. I wish Plec/the writers would give Bonnie a romantic storyline with one of the shows main characters like Klaus or Damon instead of always having her involved with some minor, non-season regular (I'm not really counting Jeremy, I really did not enjoy that relationship). Also, give Damon a chance to fall for someone else! Also NO KLAUS/CAROLINE or Tyler/Klaus/Caroline triangle YUCK!

We wanted to let Damon have the point of view, which, you know, for three seasons we all sort of rolled our eyes and clucked our tongues and shook our heads at Damon’s logic and yet finally have him be the guy that’s like, ‘hey, I’m right, you all know I’m right. You all are living in fantasyland’ and start understanding that Damon’s reality is really the most rational reality at this point.

Why doesn't Plec just come out and say Elena's become a vampire is to make up yet more reasons to push her towards Damon. Yet again Elena's character is sacrificed for the precious triangle. Ugh Vamp Elena is an epic failure.

I think julie plec is brilliant and i am enjoying this season the most out of all seasons. Characters evolve and change, so i'm excited to see where they are going eith the story line this season

Seriously Damon’s reality is really the most rational reality at this point? Is she serious with this? Jullie's bias for Damon's character knows no bounds, poor poor storytelling. Way to ruin a show and a character JP!

Damon and Elena will be a couple by the end of the season. I bet that is what Julie was meaning! I am a Stelena fan but it will be interesting to see her with Damon

Sad. Nothing JP said got me (more) interested in the following episodes. It's almost the same as the interview before and the one before that...
Reasons I'm still tuning in are the Originals, Caroline, Damon - and the hope that Elena, Bonnie and Stefan become interesting characters one day. Maybe Hayley will live up to what JP said, but I'm skeptical because until now, there was always a character who was ment to have a lot of surprises attached and play a part in a bigger game - and got killed too easily and too soon.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
