It was a good episode, with lots of character exploring, which was well done. It isn't even just that Fornell still has feelings with Diane, but that he is still Emily's father and probably resents that Victor is a good parent to her.
Right -- McGee is too nice. We know that. It might have been a smarter move to park Diane with Ziva, but it wouldn't have been as funny.

I just don't like the Diane character. I don't find her constant complaining funny. Anytime Gibbs and Fornell are together it is worth it but if Diane never comes back it would be okay for me.

this was a sensational episode! I loved having Fornell and Gibbs together and the ex-wife was the icing on the cake. This show can do no wrong -

1. We have met all of Gibbs' ex-wives. We've seen Diane at least 3 times now and she is always a handful.
2. The last time we saw Diane she called Gibbs her Shannon.
3. Gibbs has had a chance to think about what she said, and where he went wrong. This is why he can tell her to accept Victor- he's not being hypocritical, he's learned from him experiences.
4. Lots of fun with McGee this episode. I also do not remember why she kept calling him Chucky.
5. The tuna thing was weird, and the twist at the end that the check cashing owner was really the head of the operation was interesting.
All in all, great episode!

Guess the rumor was not true about McGee getting to go undercover. But at least him being the butt of the joke again was dead on.

I love Fornell and Gibbs working together and putting their ex wife diane in there is always interesting, i however did not like that in the last episode she was loving her husband and this one seemed like she was coming on to gibbs other than that it was a great show. Gibbs even said in the last show he liked her, and this one he was a good listener, Diane was a bit too forward in it, flirting.

When you put the two Fornell and Gibbs together with their ex wife Diane. You know you wll be in for a treat. And treat us they did In this situation I think no man would want to face. And have to get along the Exwife perfectly played by Melinda Mcgraw. and Joe Spano as Fornell my next favourite best buddy next to Mike Franks (Muse Watson ) the best. This gave us it all . Good job by all. Tims encouter with Diane and the night with Diane was great. It's a 5. We want more.

Considering what tuna costs, I find it odd that they were smuggling ten dollar disks in fifty dollar fish. I thought that she was quite consistent from last time to this time. She has the temperament of a stepped-on rattlesnake, and she always has had, at least since she divorced Gibbs.
Does anyone know, or remember, why she keeps calling Tim Chuck and Chuckie?
I enjoyed this episode more than any in quite a while -- it made me laugh a lot. That's nice. The serious PTSD episodes were excellent, but not funny. I am more than ready to meet the last Mrs. Gibbs, though. It's about time.

No hypocrisy at all...he very obviously told her to NOT be like him and to quit wishing that Victor was someone else (like he was always wishing his wives were like Shannon). He obviously has a soft spot for Diane and wants her to be happy.
LOVED the episode. It was fast-paced, funny, and had clever dialogue. I love the Fornell/Gibbs exchanges and the hug scene with McGee was hilarious...and the guys giving Tim a hard time in autopsy was classic. So many great moments. The case was just okay. I thought the tuna thing was pretty dumb. They were making millions on the identity theft thing...why would they need to smuggle a few thousand cells phones for some extra dough?
Overall, one of the best eps in the past few years.
Was it just me or was Diane's character a little inconsistent with her previous appearance? She wasn't quite as much of a rhymes with witch last time around. Also as sweet as the scene between her and Gibbs was, I couldn't help but feel like his advice was a tad bit hypocritical. In Diane's last episode it was as much as stated that the reason she and Gibbs divorced was because he kept wishing she was Shannon. His telling Diane to accept Victor for who he is, is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. The hypocrisy only grows when you realize that the one she wished Victor was is Gibbs (last time she openly stated that he was "her Shannon"). I'm not saying that I don't love Gibbs, however sometimes the writers try a little too hard to make him the perfect hero.

I loved this episode it was so funny. When Tim took Diane back to his place and she was talking to him and then she said she needed a hug and Tim said no and then Diane tried yelling at him to give her a hug he went over to her slowly and he let her hug him when she hugged him tight the look on his face was great he looked so weirded out. The team passing on rumors about Tim and Diane was great and funny. It was funny watching tony interigate her he was so scared of her and just kept looking at Gibbs. I thought the way Tim got stuck with Diane was funny since he was standing their with abbey and made the comment he knew were she wouldn't be staying he got suck with her because of that. Can't wait till the next episode it looks great.
Franks: Over the years we do some things, some good, some bad. Decisions that help one person can hurt another. Gibbs: Damned if you do. Franks: In the end, ...
