I'm wondering too...Elena came up with this new plan to kill Kol and therefore kill his bloodline so Jeremy's tattoo can grow. Brilliant. Except I thought it was established when they tried to kill originals before that they are unsure which original any of the vampires they care about came from. Tyler is the only one with a direct line to an original. So, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it possible if they kill Kol one or more of the vampire bunch could die?

Mystery team is gonna be Elijah/someone, maybe it's Aleric from the other side because he wants Silas to raise him from the dead :)
Question, maybe I missed something but I thought they didn't know which orginal they were sired from so if they killed one they risked being one of those thousands who would die with the original? So why would Elena think it was a good idea to kill Kol? Isn't it possible his death could bring about the deaths of Damon, Stephan, caoline or even Elena?
And yeah, the whol compulsion thing is getting old.
BTW what is it with these posters who manage to work DISH TV comments into their posts??? Y'all get paid to do that or something?

This episode sucked,me and a coworker of mine at DIRECTV have been discussing the crappiness of The Vampire Diaries as of late....
And it's a good this series is starting to decline, I will no longer have to set my DVR with its 50,0000000,000000,0000000 hrs of recording space to witness the fall of a once great show....

This show has too many characters they are trying to give depth to. This writing needs work-shopping badly- preferably from critical thinkers who watch the show that would ask the most basic questions. Compulsion is an over-used tactic that the viewers are getting bored and annoyed with. Change it up or at least let us know there is a possibility of a change.

Why didn't Rebekah compel Damon to not kill Jer?
Why doesn't Jer kill himself and come back as a vampire? (That would solve a problem in a hurry)
I severely dislike how pissy Stefan is being about this love thing with Elena, he knew she had feelings for Damon, he knew Damon had feelings for her, how did this come as a surprise to him?
Anyone else not give a shit about Bonnie and Shane and couldn't care less about their involvement in anything?
Why is Kol the only one making sense, evil guy raising the dead sounds bad to me?
AND
After the adorable 'I love you' phone call last week, why the f*ck didn't we even get a kiss from delena?

I have the feeling Elijah or Jeremy will save Bonnie next episode. .. then again, Bonnie could just expression the dust out of Kol. Unless they surprise us with a new character. Props to Stefan, but Im not sure if it'll last long . For a second, I was almost ready to die of laughter if Jeremy killed Damon. I really wonder if Silas can bring back the dead... His entire identity confuses. me. And Im interested to see what happens with Caroline and Tyler. Just a tad bit. Shane is a little dope for a human if you ask me. Bonnie's dad.. ehh... And April can kick rocks. An eye sore at this point. Reminds me of the old Caroline. Nosy. Damsel in distress. And a total pain. Oh yea. Go Stebekkah !!! Wooo !

OMG! You tooks the words right out of my mouth. I was soooo scared that they would have him mooning over her in this episode and regretting his actions about wanting to be compelled. What can i say. The man not only grew balls last epi, but he grew some iron ones too. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Proud! That conversation at the end when he says he's not in love anymore (doubt that) and sleeping with Becca is the first step in many to recovery and i hope he never looks back. I loves Kol's and Becca's little convo as well. Finally the originals are addressing the fact that they are the most broken family in history. Daggering a sibling because you don't agree with them....REALLY??? No conversations....just dagger! Kol was so right. It was a magical episode and i love the fact that Stefan seems so CALM about this! No shouting over it, my man is done with that...like bitches get your cure and live your lives....just as far away from me and my awesomeness as possible!

Wow...even the music sucks this time. TVD actually has lost it. Not even interested anymore. Julie Plec...time to find a new job or I guess you have with the spinoff. Bummer. It was a good show.

New game being played while watching this show.
Every time they say "you're compelled" "you're sired" "i compelled you so now you have to tell me" "your not in dark magic" any sentence "grams" you drink.
Let's just say this story line has gotten lame and I am not interested anymore. I hate Prof. Shain. Bonnie NEEEEDS to go! Professor Shain doesn't even live in Mystic Falls.
Don't these kids go to school and where is Caroline? Good part of tonights episode "Elijah" at least being talked about.
NO NO NO to Stefan and Rebecah.

Kol told Damon, " You will not remember this, but I want you to find Jeremy Gilbert and Kill him" So Damon attacks Jeremy once then figures out he is compelled, then chases him while warning him? Totally useless plot! The arrest and interrogation of Professor Shane made me cringe. Really? they go out of their juristiction to arrest him and then they let a child interrogate him? Come On!!!!!! Rebeckah calling Stefan out for being in love with a child? I loved it!!! I am so sick of century old Vampires always falling in love with the teenage girl! First Buffy and Angel, Bella and Edward, now Elena and the Salvatore Brothers! I am team Stebecka all the way!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm team Stefan. Screw it. Elena gets with his brother and she questions him on his choices. Really? Absolutely all for Rebekah and Stefan.
I also love that Julie isn't writing over the hurt and that Paul's acting was spot on (the pain/anger on his face when Elena was in the house). I enjoyed the ep because of it.

So. Who thinks that you need to sacrifice a Hunter with a completed mark to unlock / wake Silas and the cure? I do! Why else would Shane be waiting for a Hunter with a full mark when he already knows where Silas is and (essentially) has Bonnie? Characters be dyin' this season....

Finally, a decent episode. It wasn't perfect, but it was much better than what we've had to deal with of late. I, too, liked sarcastic, uncaring Stefan, but obviously he's just faking it. He still loves Elena (the human Elena, that is). Once they get the cure (and I believe they will), he will want her again. I prefer her with Damon, but I have a feeling that in the end Damon will be left out in the cold. Before she became a vampire, she chose Stefan, so although she has feelings for Damon, if she ever becomes human again, it will be Stefan again. Kol was fantastic in this episode and so was Joseph Morgan as Klaus (especially in his scene with Elena when she begged him to stop Kol). On the downside, I do not like the addition of Bonnie's dad (there's no connection between him and her), and I agree about the police force being very unrealistic. I also did not miss Caroline or Tyler, at all.

okay I love Bonnie and everything but she had me laughing when she said "If they knew people had to die" about the mystic falls gang. I mean the fact she said that with a straight face... hilarious cause that couldn't be more further from the truth and her own mother is victim of that. But hey I needed someone make me laugh.

i forgot elena went all stabby on rebekah hence why beks wanted to murder her in the first place. Damon killed Jeremy because Elena (who was his bro's gf at the time) told him it would always be Stefan (you know the guy she was in a serious relationship with at time) and the idea of that was so crazy Damon was overcome with such emotion that in order to prove his love for Elena he snapped Jeremy's neck. hmmm, on side we have Rebekah pretty much repaying the kindness Elena had no issue bestowing on her, and on another side we have Damon just taking anger out on someone that had nothing do with it. yep same thing....Elena logic.

Stefan and rebekah! Awesome! Stefan needs some....different storylines and I think this is perfect! Damon and elena still seem to be "star crossed" and I'm not sure why. She loves him..he loves her..get together already. Even Stefan has moved on! I love delena don't get me wrong, but please let us have a little together time.

Agreed with most of you guys. Wow. STEBEKAH SEX. Just wow, it was awesome. Sarcastic Stefan that is banging Rebekah is SOOO much better than the old Stefan. I actually would like them to flesh out Stebekah and hopefully make them work. Though it sucks that Rebekah did her brother as well...at this point the Salvatores might as well share gfs. I definitely agree with CACHERR1, Damon KILLED Jeremy in a heartbeat and you jump all over him. Rebekah killed you but did you not also white oak HER when she was vulnerable? Elena is honestly one of THE most disgusting and hypocritical characters on television, ever. Damon was smart to know that he was compelled, good move on Damon's part.

I don't agree...Damon was incredible tonight! He showed he is the only smart one in the group filled with morons and knew as soon as he got the urge to kill Jer that something was wrong.
Spending time with kol + urge to kill Jer = compulsion
Kol didn give him a timeline to kill Jer so Damon used that loophole to try to make Jer kill him instead.

I hope Bonnie goes psycho on the Salvatores and Elena as they all knew Shane did that and knew he has been using her and did nothing. While I get friends and family is important, it not important if it costly to yourself. Bonnie needs to realize her friends are straight up fake.
Also Elena needs to shut up, yes Rebekah try to kill you but Damon actually did kill Jeremy and she has no issue hopping on his dick. She needs to go sit in a damn corner and think about it. We are all know she is slow hence why 95% of the stuff she says is just dumb.

Elena doesn't care about innocents because now those innocents by being sired by Kol stand in the way of her and Damon. Also here my problem with Elena's plan, Jeremy been killing newborns for practice, is he really capable of killing an original (which he is in writer's logic as apparently because somehow Damon was able to beat up Damon last season even though season 1 stated older vampires are much stronger). I am going to be super piss if Elena's dumbass plan (cause are these mofos still sure Kol is not their original bloodline).

So many things on this show make no sense. If Elena and Jeremy are so worried about killing innocent people who are turned into vampires, then how the hell are they okay killing THOUSANDS of vampires by killing Kol. They have no way of knowing whether or not the people they're killing are innocents or not. And if Elena and Jeremy are just concerned with innocence, what's their problem with turning and killing convicted murderers? The writers are taking a lot of short cuts with logic this season.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
