I also thought this episode was well done. Based on how the previews look, we may have some more intense episodes coming up, so I always find one that is more light-hearted a welcomed change beforehand.

I have always gone back and forth between wanting a Wayne/Grace relationship and not. For me at least, I wish they would write Wayne's character a little less bumbling. (Best word I could come up with to use) I want to like him, but often I find myself confused with how he could possibly be an arson expert and an agent with a "top notch" investigative team.

Agree with all of you. This episode was great. Like you said, Entwife, the Mashburn reference was priceless. Nothing gets by Jane, and sometimes he won't let Lisbon forget that. I also loved the combination of the "not a couple" scene with the "no gift for me?" scene. Lisbon's adorable jealously of her non-boyfriend buying a gift for someone else made me smile.

@Mimi Hi! Lisbon did say "We're not a couple. Please." (that Please really hurt me, btw) And she even made kind of a face like Are you kidding. I can't decide if Jane's response of Ours is more of a platonic love was to shore up a reason for creating a cover for being on the Love Doctor's show, or if it stung him a little and he had to assert not only his love for her, but their mutual love. And platonic absolutely means the opposite of no sexual attraction. It affirms the presence of even a very strong attraction, but a mutual denial to express or fulfill it. Obviously a cover was not needed because Lisbon then pulled out her badge and got them in right away.

So they give us something sweet, but then try to dash it all? But there's too much in it for me to process all at once.

Loved this episode, absolutely loved it! I didn't catch it the first time I watched, but when Jane says, It's nice to be needed, Lisbon actually winks at him! I couldn't believe my own eyes. I had to replay that several times not only to be sure, but to totally take in that little moment of rare Jisbon pleasure. It was totally cool.

I loved the case of the week, too, just a little kinky, and Lisbon's embarrassment was a hoot! I think it piqued Jane's curiosity about Lisbon in that realm, watching her struggle with it. He couldn't keep from bringing up the subject and using it to unsettle and tease her. She was actually going to talk about it a little until he went for the jugular and brought up turtle necks, dragging up her fling with Mashburn which was supposed to be oh so on the sly. And wasn't, from Jane anyway.

btw I didn't see Lisbon say we're not a couple, but maybe she did? well we know previews are not to rely on as to what the content of the show will be like.

one word: Loved it! Great great episode, light, funny, cute and I'm not against a Risgby-VP relationship so great to see they're finally back together.

Between the Wayne and Grace conversation, and the surprisingly honest and open conversation that Cho and the husband have in the interrogation room; this was one of the best Mentalist episodes I've seen in months. The writer of this script gets a special nod in my book.

Iloved when Lisbon told Jane she needed him.It was so sweet. I love how Jane solves these cases. I also loved Grace and Rigsby talking it out and Grace showing up at Rigsby's door. Wonderful job to everyone.
