Once Upon a Time Round Table: "The Evil Queen"

at .

When "The Evil Queen" decides to destroy Storybrooke and everyone it, is there anyone who can stop her?

Our Once Upon a Time Round Table team of Jim Garner, Nick McHatton, and Christine Orlando are joined by by Gareth from Once Upon a Fan to figure what Owen's mission truly is and what realm our fairytale friends will end up in as Once Upon a Time Season 2 comes to an end. Gather around below and jump in!

-------------------------------------------

What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Gareth: All the scenes with Snow and Regina. It was nice to see some interaction between them and see Regina's reactions to Snow's analysis of the Queen's behavior. It would have been awesome if it had turned out that Snow knew it was Regina all along but it didn't work out that way.

Christine: It's got to be Emma and Henry working together.  It was sweet and funny and it's about time we have our dynamic duo back together. It feels as though Emma has been on the back burner for too long.

Nick: Henry and Emma's caper!

Jim: I enjoyed the look on Regina's face when Hook was back up top before she was. Classic!

Any guesses on what Greg/Owen's real mission is?

Gareth: I'm wondering whether he works for some X-Files type FBI agency that investigates magical creatures, similar to how 'The Initiative' worked in season four of Buffy. The themes of science versus magic are certainly playing out now. Greg is Mulder but without the charm, style or sex appeal!

Christine: I love your theory, Gareth, and I'm not sure what else makes sense. Since Owen's been on this quest since he was a child, it's certainly possible he has a law enforcement or scientific background. That said, he's certainly no Mulder and Tamara is no Scully.

Nick: I think he really does want his father back. Tamara is the one I'm worried about.

Jim: He's been pretty clear he is looking for his dad. Nothing so far seems to indicate anything different.

Which was sillier: David thinking Regina would agree to be locked in Rumpelstiltskin's cell, Mary Margaret wondering who would steal the beans or Regina thinking Henry would be OK with her killing his family and running off to the Enchanted Forest?

Gareth: All of the above. David is the King of tactless behavior at times. Regina seemed to be really unbalanced in her scene with Henry and I thought the scene was really out of character. I just can't get my head around just what she was thinking by telling Henry everything then erasing his memory. I guess in Regina's twisted way, she was being truthful and honest with him.

Christine: Do I have to choose? Regina seemed completely off balance in that scene but David is an idiot if the thinks Regina would willingly spend the rest of her life in Rumpelstiltskin's prison cell. And when Mary Margaret looked at that field and muttered who would do that, I had to roll my eyes. Who do you think?!?

Nick: Mary Margaret wondering who would steal the beans. How many times are we going to have to remind her that swiper is still swiping?

Jim: Three-way tie! Okay, seriously, Regina thinking that she wasn't the villain when she plans to kill everyone in the town is pretty damn funny given how she previously embraced the "Evil Queen" title.

Which guy would you rather have as a love interest for Emma, Neal or Hook?

Gareth: Hook and Emma have so much chemistry in all of their scenes. I'm just not feeling it with Emma and Neal. So my vote goes to Hook.

Christine: I'm just not feeling the pull between Neal and Emma. Hook on the other hand, there's some definite chemistry. If he could find a bit of redemption perhaps he and Emma might have a future.

Nick: None of the above at the moment. Have I mentioned lately I still miss Graham or August?

Jim: Meh. Neither is really jump out at me. Hook is charming by psychopathic and Neal is uh...  boring?

Any guesses on which realm our fairytale favorites will end up at the end of the season? Storybrooke, the Enchanted Forest or somewhere entirely different?

Gareth: I think all the characters will find themselves back in the Enchanted Forest. With all this talk of a fail safe, I teased Adam Horowitz that if the season ends with a Lost-style white flash, I was coming after him! I do wonder whether we will be left guessing about the fate of Storybrooke? It's just the sort of cliffhanger they would pull.

Christine: Next week's promo showed something about Neverland, but I hope we don't end there. I don't think I can handle yet another realm. It makes me dizzy.

Nick: Most will probably still be in Storybrooke at the end of the season, but, with the magic beans, some are bound to get scattered elsewhere. Whether they head to Storybrooke or somewhere else is entirely up to the bean.

Jim: I hope they don't add another location. I'm feeling certain that Storybrooke will be in the mix even if it were to move someplace else.
