Olga Fonda is about to get her big break.

The actress - who has appeared in small roles on How I Met Your Mother and Nikita - has been cast on The Vampire Diaries Season 5.

The brunette Russian model will recur on The CW drama as Nadia, one of three recurring characters who will debut on the October 10 premiere. Look for this network-described "emotional chameleon" to be willing to align herself with anyone at any time in order to further what the casting notes outline as a "mysterious agenda."

We will first meet Nadia when she runs into Matt and Rebekah in Prague.

The series is still looking for two more new players, including a college upperclassman who will cozy up to Caroline.

UPDATE: Not anymore! Kendrick Sampson has been cast in this role.
