DVD Picks of the Week: NCIS, The Good Wife and More

at .

It’s a busy week for DVD releases from some major TV Fanatic favorites, along with one gem that’s finally coming to Blu-ray.

So let's dive right into this week's top picks, shall we?

-------------------------------------------

Mike & Molly Season 3: Now that Mike and Molly are finally husband and wife, what happens next? Plenty, as the newlyweds work to figure out their new roles and balance out the craziness coming from their joined friends and family. Melissa McCarthy won the Best Actress In A Comedy Emmy in 2011 and her chemistry with co-star Billy Gardell helped make this Chuck Lorre-created show a bonafide hit on CBS. With a gag reel along with all 23 episodes, the third season of Mike & Molly can be yours today.

Star Trek: Enterprise Season 2: Thanks to JJ Abrams, the Star Trek franchise continues but the classic series – including this one starring Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer – has landed in a new High-Def Blu-Ray collection of the Season 2’s 26 episodes. Along with “Unchartered Territory,” a three-part retrospective and a collection of newly produced commentaries by cast and producers, the new release may be a bit pricey ($120.99) but for diehard fans, there’s no price on the Gene Roddenberry franchise.

NCIS Season 10/NCIS:Los Angeles Season 4: The NCIS franchise continues to be a major 1-2 punch on Tuesday nights on CBS and now the 10th season of NCIS (24 episodes) and season four of its spin-off, NCIS: Lost Angeles (also 24 episodes) are both available. Each release comes with a slew of deleted scenes, audio commentaries and exclusive featurettes that take the faithful viewer behind-the-scenes. In fact, the NCIS release comes with “Ten Years Aft” that dives into all 10 years with the cast and crew sharing their most memorable experiences. And you won’t want to miss the inside scoop on Chris O’Donnell’s directing debut in episode 417 of NCIS: Los Angeles. Both releases are must-haves…and who can say no to NCIS’ Mark Harmon and NCIS:LA’s LL Cool J?!?

The Good Wife Season 4: The popular CBS legal series proved once again that it’s no ordinary law show, as the fourth season dove headfirst into the office politics of Lockhart/Gardner and the government politics of Peter's campaign, as Emmy winner Julianna Margulies’s Alicia had to decide whether she was going to jump on board with husband Peter’s run for Governor. Of course, the 22-episode season also had romantic entanglements and the best guest stars in Carrie Preston, Michael J. Fox and more. Featurettes on directing the series include scoop on the provocative sex scenes, along with Marguilies, Noth and Mary Beth Peil (Peter’s mother Jackie) talking about how their characters interact in the season.

Reality Extravaganza: Three reality power-houses are now on DVD with The Best Of American Pickers: Mike & Frank’s Picks, The Best Of Pawn Stars: The Greatest Stories Ever Sold and The Best of Storage Wars: Life In The Locker all available. Watch the following exclusive clip from the American Pickers release with Danielle introducing one of her favorite stories from the show.

Bishop: Seriously? How'd you get that?
Tony: Well, it's like Gorillas in the Midst. You'll get to understand his grunts.

Torres: When I break out the glass, maybe I can rip out the bars.
Bishop: With what? Your superhuman strength?
