The search for a Romanian war criminal was at the center of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 5 Episode 11, as Sam and Callen didn't exactly have time to be there for a lonely Deeks.

Anton Zevlos, after all, had been using a false identity and hiding in Los Angeles for decades.

Was it the most fascinating case in series history? No. But there were a few high points, most notably Callen disobeying orders because Zevlos trafficked in kids - and Callen knew he could easily have been one of them if life had gone differently.
