How did Grimm ring in 2014?

With an installment that started with an interesting premise... but then mostly fell flat after that.

At first, the idea of a Russian Wesen healing folks in order to make up for his past mistakes, was in intriguing one. Who was trying to kill him? The answer ended up being an unexpected one.

But the episode kept the clues and the mystery marred in such darkness and confusion that it was difficult to follow at times.

Fortunately, we also learned that Juliette's friend, Alicia, is leaving her husband and that both are Wesens. What might this mean? Where might things go from here?
