Paul James of Greek fame is coming to Grey's Anatomy in a recurring role.

The actor best known for the college comedy-drama is coming on board this spring, as a character who comes to the Seattle hospital to assist with research.

Since "graduating" from Greek in 2011, James has also notably appeared in Torchwood: Miracle Day and guest-starred on both CSI: NY and Shameless.

In other Grey's news, it looks like the future of the show is still bright.

Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey each signed two-year deals that will keep them on the long-running drama through the end of Season 12 (Spring 2016).

While ABC has yet to pick up the show beyond the current Season 10, that big piece of news made its already strong prospects for renewal even brighter.

Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, February 27.
