Diane and Alicia decide to work together to quickly resolve a nasty divorce case their firms are working on but David Lee doesn't want to play nice. Diane takes steps to ensure she can bring an end swiftly and David retaliates.

Alicia rushes back to work and discovers that she cannot handle being there, returning home and literally crawling under the covers from the bottom of the bed. She doesn't come back up for a day.

p.s. it goes without saying that Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth are such first-rate performers that hating 'Peter' and cheering for 'Alicia' are a cinch !)
