Dascha Polanco Promoted to Series Regular on Orange is the New Black

Dascha Polanco won't be getting out of jail any time soon.
The actress, who has recurred on Orange is the New Black Season 1 and Orange is the New Black Season 2 as pregnant inmate Dayanara Diaz, will be promoted to full-on series regular status for Season 3.
Orange is the New Black marks Polanco's first extended role on any television show.
She can be seen in the upcoming Adam Sandler dramedy, The Cobbler.
Earlier this week, meanwhile, Samira Wiley (Poussey) was also bumped up to series regular status ahead of Season 3, which will be released on Netflix in mid-2015.
