William Shatner!!!

Is there anyone else you can think of who might be able to breathe some much needed life into Haven? I didn't think so.

Shatner, who as of late has made quite an impact on the social media game by Tweeting live during the airing of many genre shows, will be joining the second half of Haven Season 5 as a "pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of the town of Haven and its troubled residents," according to a Syfy press release.

Two installments for the first half of Haven's latest season remain after tonight

On November 28, Haven Season 5 Episode 12, "Chemistry," finds a terrifying revelation putting the divided loyalties of Haven on the line. WWE Superstar Christian Cage (Jay Ruso) -- once one half of the tag team partnership with Haven regular Adam "The Edge" Copeland -- guest stars as McHugh, one of Duke's oldest friends.

The midseason finale, Haven Season 5 Episode 13, "Chosen," will air on December 5. While the town is reeling after another stunning revelation, Mara's ultimate goal will finally be revealed prompting Audrey and Nathan to unleash a plan to stop her once and for all.

With Haven, any character added to the roster has the potential to shake things up. Laura Mennell (Charlotte) and Kris Lemche (Seth) will continue recurring through 2015 along with Shatner and Ruso.
