It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 Episode 2 Review: The Gang Group Dates

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 Episode 2 started out in good enough spirits, with The Gang riling up behind Charlie to help him get his mind off The Waitress ("I have a name"), but, as always, things take a turn for the crazy and hysterical.

Dennis's ever present insecurities ate him alive tonight, and it was a spectacular breakdown – as it always is. By this point in the series history, we've seen them all hit rock bottom, and burrow straight through to the Earth's molten core to share a beer with the creatures living in the center of the planet.

Glenn Howerton was always the most "actor-y" of the three male leads (excluding the obvious legend that is DeVito). Charlie Day may be in the one in films, but, as of now, his range is limited to a specific kind of spastic humor – and he does it unbelievably well of course. Howerton on the other hand, has had more to work with throughout the series history, and here he does his own best impression of Charlie's usual meltdowns.

I will rate every single women in this restaurant!

Dennis

Dennis, with his patented "system," has always been the embodiment of the phrase "rapist vibe," and it didn't help that "rate" sounded a lot like the other "r" word throughout this episode.

When he had that meltdown in the restaurant after trying to apologize to, then blow off, Ms. "I have a name," it sounded like he wanted to assault every woman in the room. And hey, step two IS "engage physically."

He's engaging you physically.

Mac

Paralleling Dennis's epic tirade is Dee's own ego trip. Her plan to gain power over men, and increase her own self-esteem, didn't work out too well, did it? Her "boyfriend" from the start of the episode really did a number on her, huh?

Well it's a cock ring, for, uh, all my lovers.

Dee

There were plenty of other hilarious moments throughout – one of my favorites being Dennis telling his sister "you can't even spell." And, surprisingly, Mac and Charlie seemed to have more game with Frank's own two-step system, although their brainstorming sessions led us to believe that they would fall on their faces as well.

if we could get in some pleasant banter and punctuate it with some witty jokes, we could be set.

Frank

Charlie's outrage over a "cowboy" walking into a store with a "teacher" was great as well ("they're independent thinkers!"). I also lost it when they met the first group of women and he bowed out of respect, or whatever. He took a BOW. Oh man Charlie, I don't think you'll ever stop making me cry from laughter ("we can much money!").

It was definitely a great follow up to last weeks premiere, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 10 Episode 1, although I didn't find as consistently entertaining.

How 'bout Frank's penis ring though? Nightmares anyone?

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I've kind of had trouble closing it with the waitress.
