The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Episode 16 Review: Amster-Damn!

at .  Updated at .

Lisa Vanderpump predicted that bringing up Kim Richards addiction issues was playing with fire. We were warned.

But no one listened and the beauty of Amsterdam turned ugly on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Episode 16.

In Lisa Rinna’s defense, she was truly trying to apologize and explain to Kim from where she’s coming. Her 21-year-old sister died of an overdose when Lisa was only six. That’s a trauma that will stick with you forever. Of course Kim wasn’t listening to any of it. She simply didn't seem to care. Minus 33.

Kim did tell Lisa to back off numerous times but that doesn’t forgive her atrocious behavior. Kim covered the addicts trifecta with denial, excuses and rage.

And what was up with the veiled threats about exposing Lisa’s husband? Was Kim just throwing things out there to try and hit a nerve? If that was the case, bulleye!

Lisa shouldn’t have thrown the glass or tried to choke Kim, but it’s hard to blame her. Kim’s tirade was mean, nasty, and downright vicious. She was angry at everyone and she wanted to make it hurt. Minus 40 because the emotional shrapnel did more damage than the glass.

Kim seems to think that Brandi Glanville is her only friend. How long will it be before that blows up in her face?

Plus 22 because at least Kim appeared to take stock of her tirade the next morning as she said in this The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills quote

What I saw was me at my ugliest.

Kim Richards

No kidding. It sure wasn't pretty.  I was actually kind of shocked when Lisa opened the door to Kim the next day. I’m not sure I would have.

What was truly sad was the horrible state of Kim and Kyle’s relationship. Kyle had a point. When they’re alone Kim tells her that she’s her best friend and how grateful she is that Kyle has been their for her. Yet in public she has no qualms about tearing Kyle to pieces. Minus 27. Kyle’s not perfect but this is really upsetting to watch.

And on a side note, does anyone know what happened to Kim’s dog Kingsley? He shared almost every scene with her last season. Is he still alive? Did he find a new home? Does he have his own reality show with the Dog Whisperer?

Despite all of the ridiculous nonsense, we did manage to get a bike ride through the Dutch countryside to see the windmills and they were beautiful. Plus 13. But I would have loved to have seen some more tulips. I love tulips.

Then things got weird, again. Everyone (except Kim, thank goodness) headed to the perfectly legal pot and coffeehouse where they all lamented and bickered over whether or not they should partake of the spiked cake. For once I had to agree with Brandi. Just do it or don’t do it but shut the f**k up about it.  Never was there such debate over a piece of cake.

That’s where my agreement with Brandi ended. We should have known it was coming. She hadn’t been the center of attention in almost a day. So why not yell at Kyle Richards in the middle of the street? Minus 19.

Don’t forget to check back next week as the drama continues in Amsterdam on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Episode 17.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Episode 16 Quotes

We’re going to celebrate. We’re going to have fun. We’re going to get naughty.

Lisa Vanderpump

I don't understand this prostitution rationale. I don't think you need a dick in your mouth to put food in their mouth. Sorry, just saying.
