Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 Episode 24 Review: Luapo'i (Prey)

The case this week was not an average traffic stop, nor was it an average kidnapping. In fact, this was no average hour of Hawaii Five-0.

Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 Episode 24 continued to build the mystery of what exactly Adam is up too and revealed that Chin is secretly investigating the photos.

But, the biggest news of all was Rachel telling Danny that Charlie is his son after all! It was both awe-inspiring and a tear jerker.

The planning for Kono's wedding is almost complete and next week we are going to have a wedding installment. Woohooo!

After everything that Kono and Adam have been through together and separately, I am really excited to finally see them get to this point in their relationship. Over the course of the show, they have been the couple that I root for the most. And damn do they look good together!

You know, it has actually just been the hardest part of this process, not having her involved. The hardest part is I always assumed that if and when there was a time to plan a wedding that she would be there, doing it with me every step of the way.

Kono

I am nervous about what exactly Chin will find out about the man in the photos. The best case scenario is that Steve is right and Adam does not know that this guy is associated with the Yakuza.

My prediction is that Adam knows this man is involved, but is working some kind of angle. Could he be providing information to some branch of law enforcement that Kono does not know about?

I can't say that part of me didn't suspect all along that Charlie was Danny's son, but it still took me by surprise when those suspicions turned out to be true. It was heartbreaking to see how sad it made Danny. The moment when Danny looked at Rachel and asked her how she could do this was powerful and moving.

I know that you hate me right now and I don't blame you for hating me. But I am telling you now, we have a son and there is something wrong and that something wrong could kill him.

Rachel

Of course the bounty hunter wasn't going to give up on Andrew. After all, the man was worth 40 thousand dollars. My first thought was that we were going to have a second dead bounty hunter on our hands. Instead, Richie turned Andrew over to Malcolm and her Liam Neeson inspired father.

I know how much pain a person can endure before passing out. I know how long it takes to recover. I know how to keep a person alive, even when letting them die would be more humane. When this is all over, you will beg me to kill you.

Father

It's easy to side with Steve and understand the reasons for wanting vengeance, but there is no way this method would have brought Malcolm any peace. He isn't like Andrew, because like most people, he doesn't enjoy killing or torturing someone.

How much did you enjoy the cameo by Dog the Bounty Hunter? I was pleasantly surprised when he graced the screen with his presence and I chuckled at the fact that someone's outfit was finally more out of place than Danny's.

So you want to know what this cat's next move is right?

Dog

My favorite scene was the long awaited one with Danny and Steve driving around in the black car. In the last review, I was feeling nostalgic about never seeing these two together. Well, we finally got Danny and Steve and they even bantered about their relationships.

While I still have a bad taste in my mouth over how their friendship has degraded this season, their banter has temporarily filled the whole in my heart.

I like Steve is still not over Catherine. The two were together for a long time and she was one of the loves of his life. It takes longer than a year to get over people like that.

All in all this was one of my favorite installments this entire season. After the past three stand alone episodes, I am really excited about what is to come in the finale.

What did you think of this hour? What did you think off the case this week? Were you shocked when Rachel revealed that Charlie was Danny's son? What was your favorite scene?

If you haven't seen this awesome hour yet, remember you can watch Hawaii Five-0 online!
