A new chapter was opened on The Originals Season 3 Episode 1.
While there was certainly fallout from last year's storylines, a majority of this premiere focused on a brand new threat to Klaus and his family.
We were introduced to Lucien, an ancient vampire from Klaus' sire line that arrived in New Orleans with a warning.
He said that the three sire lines - from Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah - are feuding and they've realized the best way to do away with their rivals is by killing the Original who created them.
Because this would do away with their ENTIRE sire lines.
You can see how this would be a problem for the Mikaelsons, but should Klaus really trust Lucien? Even if he created Lucien and, one would think, it would therefore be in Lucien's best interest to keep Klaus alive?
At the end of the episode, we were thrown for a major twist regarding Lucien's motives.
