Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 11 Review: Kuleana

You could tell as soon as Kamekona saw Levi, that this wasn't someone he was happy to see. On Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 11 it was nice that we saw a glimpse into his past.

We finally got to find out how and why he started his criminal ways. What and who led him down this path.

I liked that if he was going to do it, he did it to help his single mother and little brother, even if he went about it the wrong way. Crime never pays in the long run. But he did out of love for his family and wanting to help his mom pay the bills.

Kamekona: Flipper's still around.
Levi: Does he still look like a dolphin?
Kamekona: Brother's only working for me because Sea World isn't hiring.

I guess when you are in high school and see the kind of money you could make working for Levi, it was just too tempting to pass up. Looks like Chin is the one that gave him hope of making something of himself after he got out of prison. Chin has a good heart.

I half expected Levi to be tied to Gabriel in some way. We may still find out he was. At least we don't have to worry about Levi anymore. Glad it was him that was shot and not Kamekona.

I knew Steve and Danny in couples therapy would be good for a few good laughs. It was hilarious that Steve signed them up for the wrong course. There were also some unexpected revelations. Danny may have a point that some things, like relationships, can be over analyzed to the point of doing more harm than good.

Karen: Really, I don't because they're not a couple.
Karen's husband: So what Karen, they're stuck in a relationship they can't get out of, they fight all the time, and they don't have sex. Sounds a lot like our marriage to me.

He refused to go to marriage counseling with Rachel. He says he doesn't think it would have helped, but he will never know now. I think deep down he wonders if it would have saved it. With Rachel deceiving both her husband and Danny, he may not care that much now. I'm surprised she is still married to Stan.

While Steve and Danny's relationship may seem kind of toxic to some people, it really may not be. They both have the same stressful job and they both have problems in their personal lives. I think they are each others verbal punching bag.

Steve: This is great for us.
Danny: I hate you.

They can say things to each other that they couldn't say to anyone else, at least not without that person being insulted or worse. They do love, care and respect each other. They are always there to lend support when needed and they have each others back. What more could you ask for in a friend?

Speaking of personal lives, I take it Steve is just be casually dating Lynn, while playing the field. Not sure she is still in the picture anyway. Only saw her that one time. It was pretty funny he wanted Danny to be his wing man.

The woman on the plane made duck lips, so Steve can do better. Danny must still be with Amber/Melissa. I kind of forget about her.

With Gabriel's visit to Adam, I wonder what he wants now. Sounds like he will hurt Kono if he doesn't comply. They need to take this guy down soon. I have a bad feeling about this. I hope all the regulars/semi regulars make it out alive.

What did you think of tonights episode?

Do you think Steve and Danny's relationship is fine the way it is, or do they need help? What could Gabriel possibly want from Adam now? Do you like to see flashbacks to find out more about the characters? Let us know in the comments below.
