Marvel's Agent Carter Round Table: Heartbreak Ahead?

at .

Not everyone's cut out for Hollywood.

Luckily, Peggy Carter seems to fit right in.

On Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 Episode 5, everyone was after an atomic bomb. Whitney Frost wants to create more Zero Matter and Peggy and Daniel want to diffuse the bomb before Whitney can get to it.

Elsewhere in the hour, Daniel surprised us all by proposing to Violet, Rose surprised Daniel by being a kick-ass field agent, and Jarvis surprised himself by successfully diffusing the bomb in question.

Join TV Fanatics Jim Garner, Kathleen Weidel, and Christine Laskodi as they talk about, "The Atomic Job."

Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Where do Daniel and Violet go from here? Do you think we’ve seen the last of them?

Jim: I hope we haven't seen the last of Violet. In the real world this wouldn't be as big of deal, but of course, this is TV sooooo this WILL be a big deal. That being said, I'm holding out hope for Daniel and Violet.

Kathleen: Poor Violet. Perfectly nice woman, but she deserves to find a guy who isn't hung up on someone else. (And I freely admit to being in the Daniel/Peggy camp.)

Christine: I’m with Kathleen all the way. I’m totally in the Peggy/Daniel camp. Violet is super sweet, and I wouldn’t mind if she sticks around, but endgame, I need a Daniel and Peggy romance.

What was your biggest laugh out loud moment in, “The Atomic Job”?

Jim: Jarvis' matter-of-fact reply, "For the record, that was nothing like baking a soufflé."

Kathleen: For me, it was Peggy repeatedly mind-frying Hugh Jones. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

Christine: Slow motion walk, for sure. Everything about that moment was just gold.

Where did Jason disappear to?

Jim: I suspect that whatever Whitney did to Peggy's arm is causing Jason to fade out when he gets close to her. That's the only thing I can think of.

Kathleen: He's probably gone to the realm of Zero Matter, at a guess.

Christine: I was thinking the same thing as Kathleen. There’s got to be a Zero Matter realm that he’s stuck in. But what Jim said about Peggy’s arm also makes sense. Maybe Whitney activated it and now it called Jason back?

How did you feel about Rose’s first field mission? Did she prove herself to Daniel?

Jim: Absolutely! I loved Rose in the field, I hope she gets to go again.

Kathleen: She was awesome, wasn't she? And I think she definitely proved herself to Daniel.

Christine: I’d watch a whole Rose spin-off. Rose mini-sodes would be so fun. She’s proven her worth at the SSR for sure.

Why do you think Zero Matter is affecting Whitney and Jason so differently?

Jim: Proximity to the blast maybe?

Kathleen: Aside from the obvious answer ("because the plot said so"), I think Jim probably has the right of it.

Christine: We’re all on the same page. But I do think there’s something to what Peggy said last week, about Jason being strong. Maybe he’s clinging to his humanity more than Whitney, and that’s why the Zero Matter is making her so power thirsty?

Jarvis has a recreational tie. Do you have anything that you only wear recreationally?

Jim: Does my lucky Spider-Man underwear count? I guess other than gym cloths when working out, I don't really have anything that I only wear recreationally.

Kathleen: I'm not exactly what you might call a clothes horse, so no.

Christine: I have fun headbands and hats that I only wear for special outings. I suppose that counts!
