13 Thoughts We Had While Watching the Game of Thrones Premiere

Game of Thrones is back and it left us with a lot to think about.
Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 gave us one of the biggest shocks to date and it had nothing to do with the fate of Jon Snow.
It also changed the direction of the drama in Dorne and it made the trip there in Game of Thrones Season 5 a bit more worthwhile.
Then there was the fact that Jon Snow is dead, but that probably won't ring true if Melisandre has as much power as we think she has.
What were your thoughts on the premiere of what is sure to be a spectacular season of this fantasy drama? Hit the comments below with your observations.

1. Melisandre Is Very Old
This has got to be the biggest twist to date and it makes me think she knows a lot more than she's letting on.
2. Cersei's Life Falling Apart
It sucks that Myrcella had to die, but Cersei deserves to have her life fall apart.
3. Ellaria Is Pretty Badass
Ellaria was poised to die in the premiere, but she and her band of daughters begun wreaking havoc to avenge Oberyn's death.
4. Tyrion Is Still Hilarious
Tyrion and Varys always seem to have great dialog, but Tyrion's observation about Varys not being a boy stole the show. Peter Dinklage has great timing with one-liners.
5. Jon Snow In Purgatory
Poor Jon was lying in the snow, lifeless. No one thought to save him. Even Ghost couldn't get out the room to save him.
6. Daenerys Needs A Drink
Khaleesi was in a world of trouble with Dothrakis, but she probably needs loads of alochol to process the mess she's in now.
7. Sansa Should Have Listened To Brienne
Didn't Brienne try and help Sansa before and she didn't want it?
8. Was Ramsay Crying?
Who knew that Ramsey had a heart. He fed his bit on the side to the dogs.
9. Margaery Owned by the Septa
There's nothing like kicking someone when they're down, but the Septa doesn't care. All she cares about is sinners paying for their sins!
10. Jorah & Daario Finding the Ring Was Too Easy
I get that the writers wanted to throw the bit of greener grass in, but it just seemed plain stupid.
11. Ellaria's Daughters Are Cray!
The bit on the boat was hilarious. We had no idea who was going to take the kill, but it all happened so fast!
12. Roose Is A Terrible Father
Roose gave Ramsey a compliment and took it right back away from him.
13. Where's Bran?!?
Did anyone else seriously think we were going to catch up with Bran. We were tricked!
