Criminal Minds: Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook Signed for Season 13!

Fans of Criminal Minds can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook have officially signed on for Criminal Minds Season 13.

The series veterans were refusing to return unless they achieved salary parity with the other veteran co-stars.

Thankfully, Deadline is reporting that deals have been reached with both women and they will return to work on Season 13.

Word on the street was that both women were willing to walk away from the series if their salary requests were not met.

Both Vangness and Cook previously took a stand in 2013 when it emerged they were being paid less than half of what their male co-stars were being paid.

They were successful in their earlier endeavors, but it was not comparable to what Shemar Moore, Joe Mantegna, and Matthew Gray Gubler were raking in at the time.

Vangsness has been on the show since Season 1, playing the role of Penelope Garcia. Her character was widely expected to return in some form, with the character being far away from the fatal closing moments of Criminal Minds Season 12

Cook, however, has had an erratic track record with the series and that was down to her previously being let go as part of a cost-cutting effort.

The fans made their voices heard and A.J. made a return shortly after, before being upped back to series regular status.

It was not all good news for the cast members of the series. Damon Gupton was let go from the series after appearing being signed late last year to fill the void left by Thomas Gibson.

We think it's fair to say Criminal Minds has had a lot of crazy casting moves over the years, and all of the changes have resulted in decreased ratings.

Meanwhile, Paget Brewster, Adam Rodriguez, and Aisha Tyler are slated to return.
