The Originals Season 5 Casting Scoop: Who's In?

at .

The Originals is returning for one final season on The CW in 2018, and with production well underway, new details have emerged on who will be playing some of the new characters.

First up is Torrance Coombs, who will be playing Declan

Torrance Coombs

He is a flirty Irish chef and Hayley will be involved with him in some way. It's unclear whether it will be romantically or physically.

Considering eight years will have passed since The Originals Season 4 Episode 13, it would be silly for her to wait around for Elijah when there's a slim chance she will ever be in the same room as him.

Coombs is best known for his role as Bash on fellow CW drama, Reign. He most recently appeared on ABC's Still Star-Crossed, but that show was canceled earlier this year after a low rated freshman run.

Jedidah Goodacre

Next up is, Roman, a charming vampire who quickly builds a connection with Hope Mikaelson. However, he has an obsessive interest in the Mikaelson family, so he could be a villain in disguise.

He will be played by Jedidiah Goodacre, who played Prince Chad in the Descendants film series.

As previously reported, Danielle Rose Russell has been cast as an older version of Hope for the final season.

Summer Fontana played the character during The Originals Season 4. It has yet to be confirmed whether there will be flashbacks in store that could see the actress return.

Hayley and Hope exited New Orleans for a safer life in Mystic Falls. Hope enrolled at Caroline and Alaric's school for gifted children as a way to find a balance between her powers.

The kid does not know how powerful she is as of yet, so the school will help her meet up with children who are gifted.

It was also recently confirmed that Candice King would be appearing as her The Vampire Diaries character for the Season 5 opener.
