The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 6 Review: The Travel Agency

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Keen. Again.

After witnessing a tragic ending on The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 6, Liz wanted to make her world right by marrying Tom, but how ironic was it that it was this case that pushed her to do it?

Married Again - The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 6

Liz thinks that she and Tom have a clean slate for their second go around, but we all know that's not the case. She's in the same situation she was in the first time she married him.

She had no idea the secrets he kept, and round two is no different. It doesn't matter if he thinks he's doing right by trying to find out the mystery of the bones, Tom is still keeping things from her that he shouldn't be.

He should have been honest with her from the beginning. He should be honest with her now. If Tom wants to protect her from the Red's shadow of darkness, as he said, he should come clean, but we know he won't.

He's going to push as far as he can to find the bones before Red does, but is Tom that dumb to think he can beat Red? I know I've said it before, but Red is going to win this game.

And now that Red did another favor for Harold, he's going to call in his chip at just the right time. Tom has no chance, and he's putting more people in danger, just like Red warned him would happen.

He might as well kiss Carly goodbye, because the next time she sees the bearded guy, he's not going to be doing a lot of talking.

How many people will Tom let die before he stops?

But getting to the bones before Red would put Tom at an advantage with Liz. As much as Red would like to see Tom disappear, the same can be said for Tom.

He'd love it if Red got out of his and Liz's life. The mystery of the bones could be the key to that happening.

What I don't get is why Red didn't burn the bones in the first place? Why bury them if they are so dangerous?

Why bury them again when he gets them? Burning them seems like a more logical solution to making sure they never resurface again.

At least that's what I'd do, or throw them in a vat of acid like how the Stewmaker used to get rid of bodies.

However the bone mystery ends up, it's going to be tragic for everyone involved, much like the tragedy of Calvin and Eleanor Dawson. Eleanor found out Calvin's secrets after the accident and the death of their children.

The Tragic Couple - The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 6

It was horrible that she had to live every day with the knowledge of what happened to their daughters because of his job at the "travel agency."

How shocking it must have been when she learned what he was doing to put food on the table. Her anger was understandable after unraveling the truth. And it probably made her more angry that her husband couldn't even remember the horror of what happened not only to his daughters but him as well.

It was also tragically clever that she turned it around on him to take out the men who were ultimately responsible for their daughters' deaths. It had come full circle.

Didn't the maps Eleanor had in her secret closet remind you of what Liz was doing when trying to figure out the mystery of Tom Keen?

It had to have hit home for Liz when she saw it all. She had made an immediate connection to Eleanor that went beyond just being a mother. And seeing the blood on the girls' tombstones had to bring it all home to her.

Red Playing Golf - The Blacklist

But instead of being terrified and seeing it as a warning of what she and Tom could become, she decided the best course of action was to marry the man who deceived her so many times.

That's because she believes Tom has changed, that he's not the same man he was. And maybe he isn't dark Tom like he used to be, and she's no longer his "job," but the bones are a huge thing to be keeping from her.

Is she still going to feel "so lucky" to have him when she finds she eventually finds out what he's been hiding?

It's possible that she might not get angry at Tom. Maybe she'll take her anger out on Red instead. More than likely it'll be both, but maybe it will be neither. Maybe after the shock of learning the truth about the bones (and we know it'll be shocking) she'll just go on with her life.

She did it before, why not again? She forgave Tom and is still with him. She forgave Red and is still with him.

Elizabeth Keen is a very complicated person. She always has been.

So what did you think? Did you see the similarities between the Keens and the Dawsons?

Were you surprised at Tom and Liz's impromptu wedding? What will Red think?
