Arrow Season 6 Episode 10 Review: Divided

at .  Updated at .

After losing half his team, Oliver Queen continues his crusade to stop Cayden James and his new formed cabal of baddies.

But throughout Arrow Season 6 Episode 10, a new team comes to life as there are now two vigilante teams in Star City.

Double The Teams - Arrow Season 6 Episode 10

I'm still bothered by the notion that for the millionth time in Arrow's history, the team has fallen apart yet again. Even if the circumstances are different this time around, it still bothers me how they have recycled this plot point.

We know it is only a matter of time until they all come together as a full team. With that said, "Divided" ended up being way more enjoyable than I expected.

To begin with, Cayden's little bug in the bunker finally got called out! I think the primary reason why I loved that part was for Dinah's sake.

After she began to get close to Vincent last year despite him being the Vigilante, it needed to be stopped somehow. While it sucked that she had to have her feelings hurt, I'm glad he didn't get to play her anymore.

It never made sense from the start that someone as smart as Dinah would let a corrupted Vincent play her. So thankfully, that got cleared, and now I wait for the episode when Dinah gets to end his sorry butt.

You know what was a little funny with "Divided"? How they made it abundantly clear that Huntress will pop up at some point during Arrow Season 6.

Sassy Siren - Arrow Season 6 Episode 10

Also, how is the Bertinelli family still active in Star City?! I feel since Helena left the show, there have been some relative here and there who have popped up in the last three seasons.

Arrow remembered one of its greatest characters, as Thea got some significant screen time! While I wish she would suit up again as Speedy, Thea got to show her heroic heart throughout this episode.

The more I see Willa Holland and Paul Blackthorne working together, the more I dig it. The idea that she believes Earth-2 Laurel can be saved with Quentin's help made my heart sing.

I have believed since the start of this season that Black Siren has the potential for redemption. Arrow Season 6 Episode 9 helped back that idea and after Thea's motivation here, perhaps Siren's time as a baddie is about to end.

For the time being, I enjoy seeing Siren cause chaos wherever she goes. I love how frustrated she is starting to get with Cayden's pace. Seriously, with Barry Allen being the fastest man alive on The Flash, Cayden may as well be the slowest one.

As I said before, I'm not thrilled about Team Arrow being broken up again. But I managed to appreciate it after the events of "Divided" because of one reason.

What Is Cayden Up To - Arrow Season 6 Episode 10

The newbies didn't put up with Oliver's bull. It's sometimes too easy to dislike Oliver Queen and the way he thinks. Did he seriously think they would forgive and forget that easily?

I'm so darn proud of Rene, Curtis, and Dinah for standing up for themselves. In fact, this new team they got going...I'm in 100%. Also, we're obviously calling that team Team Canary, right?

Nothing against Curtis and Rene, but those boys would be somewhat lost without Dinah. I'm sticking with Team Canary as the official name. Speaking of team names, what are we calling Cayden's cabal?

I will share some love for our Emerald Archer though in this episode. James Bamford, who did a great job directing "Divided," gave us one of the coolest action scenes ever with Ollie going up against an army.

But it was also the way it was shot as the camera followed around the Green Arrow. I love when a director lets the camera follow the main character as if we're there.

It makes the fight feel more real and intense when the camera almost acts as a character of its own. If there's one thing Oliver has always been consistent with, he can kick some major butt.

Team Totally Canary - Arrow Season 6 Episode 10

I don't know how long it will be until Team Arrow and Team Canary become one again. But whenever it does happen, it needs to be earned. That's probably the only way I can accept the show's decision of re-using this plot element again.

Overall, "Divided" was a strong midseason premiere from start to finish. It gave Thea an actual storyline for the first time in a long time. "Divided" allowed the newbies to stay true to themselves by not accepting Oliver's offer.

Oh, and Diggle finally got his nerve damage under control thanks to Curtis' new implant. As predicted, a substantial consequence that was solved way too easy.

Now it's your turn to let us know what you thought of Arrow Season 6 Episode 10! Are you excited to see the newbies as their own team?

Can Black Siren be redeemed? What is Cayden James up to and why is he taking such a long time?
