According to the report, Father Blackwood is described as “High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts."

"Ruthless and ambitious, Blackwood hides a terrifying dark agenda that will put him in direct conflict with Sabrina (Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka) and other members of the coven."

The official logline for the series reads: "The hourlong drama reimagines the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft, naturally."

"The new iteration is described as in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist and finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit."

Richard Coyle has a TV track record that includes Born to Kill, The Fall and Crossbones.

Kiernan Shipka was the first person cast. In the weeks that followed, Mirando Otto, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez and Lucy David were cast as Aunt Zelda, Ambrose Spellman, Mary Wardell, and Aunt Hilda respectively.

In addition to that, we also got our first look at Salem aka the talking cat. You can see the first glimpse of him below.

The reboot landed at The CW late last year and was envisioned as a companion to fellow Archie comics series, Riverdale.

Riverdale Quotes

Alice: These diaries are your past, and your past is crushing you. Edgar says that...
Betty: What, Mom? What does some guru who’s running a heaven’s gate commune for pregnant runaways and wives of serial killers have to say about my diaries?
Alice: We know that you look down on the Farm, Betty. But, Edgar has done nothing but help me. He’s encouraged me to embrace everything that I was ashamed of and become the best version of myself.

Veronica: What's happening out there? Do we know? Is it about me?
Jughead: I have a strong inkling, and no. Also, I'd let it go.
Veronica: Yes, but you're you and I'm me. You do you, girl. I'll be back.
[She leaves]
Kevin: What was it like before she got here? I honestly cannot remember.
