Lucifer Season 3 Episode 22 Review: All Hands on Decker

at .  Updated at .

When four mismatched women get together to plan a bachelorette party, you can rest assured it's not going to turn out as anyone would expect.

That was one fun plot point on Lucifer Season 3 Episode 22, and the other involved Dan getting a new partner for while because the bride, his ex, was taking vacation time to plan her wedding to the police captain.

It's like one big, happy (or miserable) family at that police station.

New Partners - Lucifer Season 3 Episode 22

Dan has become one of my favorite characters, so it was about time he was given some facetime.

Kevin Alejandro has a lot more to offer the show than he's been given credit and seeing him in the limelight more frequently would only be better overall.

Dan's been the leading character in giving advice across the board during Lucifer Season 3, and this time around he not only gave it but paid attention to what he was saying and what he heard from others.

Dan learned from his own advice and advanced on Charlotte.

Dan: But I never told you what I want. I want you. All in. The whole deal. So there.
Charlotte: OK.
Dan: Really?

That's growth, people. That's what we want from every character. Did you see the look on Dan's face when Charlotte said OK?

Winners in Love - Lucifer Season 3 Episode 22

The two of them make a great couple, and I can't wait to see what's next. Hell, I'll take a spinoff and they can take the rest of the co-stars with them.

I have to be honest, I was lost trying to determine why Maze wanted the wedding to go on so badly, especially after talking to Cain knowing he was going to help her get to hell even though he's now a man in love (gag) and wants to live.

Vengeance is surely on his mind as the hour goes dark, but while Miss Prissy Maze was throwing what looked a lot more like a baby shower than a bachelorette party (OK, at least more like a bridal shower -- they are different animals), I didn't get it.

Who Wins the Chloe Race? - Lucifer Season 3 Episode 22

Why did Maze have to keep things copacetic to get to hell under the circumstances? Surely since she, you know, BELONGS THERE, God would be hoping for her speedy return whether she angered him by messing with his earth-bound blonde and wayward son or not.

Charlotte didn't do too much and she got her ticket to hell. Can Maze be killed, or is she stuck on this mortal coil until the place goes dark or someone opens their wings and shuffles her down there personally?

Ella's language might have been enough to get her a ticket to the bad place. She was on fire with the dialogue.

Not peony, PENIS! Peeeni...yeah, I'll hold.

Ella

When Ella first arrived on canvas, I would have thought she had a fairly good filter keeping her on the straight and narrow, but if she has such filters, they've been torn or are perpetually in the off position.

And I love it. The more raunchy Ella gets, the more I love her. She had to make the T-shirts for the bachelorette party, right? Not that they were raunchy, but cute and very Ella like.

Chloe's Party - Lucifer

Linda: Did you guys find the booze?
Ella: Exactly! We should be nipple deep in Jaeger by now and playing pin the tail on Ryan Gosling!

Linda got right into the thick of the seedier side of the party once it was available to them. The bride-to-be wanted more than '50s dresses and toilet paper games, too, but I guess Fox couldn't get the rights to more than one song for the party bus.

If I had to hear the same phrase one more time, I might have been throwing the water polo team off of the rig, too.

And good on Linda for bringing up her love life again. She let Amenadiel go. For what? All that did was turn Maze into a menacing killer who wouldn't even let the gals have a good time during a bachelorette party. For that alone she should go back to hell.

I don't expect many more meetings of the former immortal beings club, although it was nice of Amenadiel to offer Cain a beer. He didn't get very far in discovering anything new about the man but managed to turn him off of a large, formal, time-consuming wedding.

Cain was pretty angry as the credits rolled that his wedding was canceled altogether, and something tells me his mortal life will end in much the same way his immortal life began: with a murder (or an attempted one).

Do you think Cain is going to go off the deep end as a result of his mortal happiness being cut short to the only remaining immortal man he knows personally? Will he use what he knows about the guy to try to kill him when he's near the woman they both love?

To quote the handsome dude on the show, as far as the rest of the hour goes, "It's completely irrelevant."

What was your favorite part? Did you think Dan was amazing as usual? How about sitting under the chair with a scotch waiting for Cornelia and her daddy to come home? His confidence with Charlotte?
