Chandler Riggs Attends Event

News of Riggs joining a new show was teased by the star over the weekend when he took to Twitter with the following statement:

Four days ago i was almost unemployed for a full year."

“Right now i’m sitting on the set of season one of an incredible tv show for my first day of work. Life changes really drastically really quickly.”

(By the way, the capitalization choices were all Riggs'!)

Life sure does change quickly, and Riggs would know all about that.

Riggs shot to fame in the role of Carl Grimes on AMC's The Walking Dead, a role he played from 2010-2018.

The character was beloved by many fans, and those fans were not impressed by the decision from the creative forces behind the show to deviate once more from the comics.

Chandler's final appearance on The Walking Dead found Carl ending his life after being bitten during a scuffle by a walker.

The emotionally charged scenes will go down as the most shocking in the show's history.

Riggs opened up just a few weeks ago about his thoughts on his exit.

“It wasn’t just Carl dying, it was also me leaving the show and kind of moving on to other things,” Riggs revealed at San Jose Fan Fest after being asked about filming Carl's final scene.

"So in many ways, it was pretty symbolic just for the cast and crew, just for me to be leaving the show in the first place, it was a pretty big deal for all of us," he continued.

"And yeah, it sucked, and it was many long days, but I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I’m really happy with my performances, and I’m happy with how I left the show.”
