With This Is Us Season 3 in the can, it's time to look ahead to This Is Us Season 4, which will likely get underway in the fall.

Deadline is reporting that Melanie Liburd is losing her series regular status on the NBC hit, and the news is not entirely surprising.

Liburd first appeared on This Is Us Season 2 Episode 18 as Beth's cousin Zoe, before being elevated to series regular for This Is Us Season 3.

If you watch This Is Us online, you know that Kevin and Zoe's relationship hit a snag of epic proportions when the pair could not come to an agreement about having children.

They had differing views, and it ultimately paved the way for the pair to end things on This Is Us Season 3 Episode 18, which aired Tuesday night.

The time-jumping episode, we learned that Kevin had a son in the future, so it's likely that he's going to find love with someone who has similar views to him.

Alexandra Breckinridge played Sophie as a recurring player on This Is Us Season 1 before getting the series regular treatment in This Is Us Season 2, but her series regular contract came to an end when Kevin and Sophie broke up.

It's possible that Sophie could be the one Kevin ultimately ends up with, but only time will tell. This show is filled with emotional twists, so it's likely there will be more heartache in store for Kevin before he finds the one.

The season finale titled "Her" finally lifted the lid on the season's big mystery, and it revealed that Rebecca Pearson is still alive in the future timeline, but that she's weak, frail, and clearly suffering from an illness.
