“I’m thrilled to further explore the beauty, pain and triumph of this African-American family, with hopes that their story will continue to resonate with audiences who see themselves in the Bordelons,” said series creator Ava DuVernay.

“It’s a real honor to create this work with Warner Horizon and OWN as their support is rock-solid and wonderful.”

The series focuses on three siblings who are trying to save their family's farm.

Meanwhile, Hulu has dropped the first official trailer for its forthcoming dramedy, Looking for Alaska.

The series is adapted by Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Gossip Girl) from the John Green novel of the same name, and follows “teenager Miles ‘Pudge’ Halter (Charlie Plummer) as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life,” per the official synopsis.

“He falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through.”

Based on the first trailer, it looks set to be filled with twists and turns.

Also, it looks like the world will be getting a whole lot more content from J.J. Abrams.

The super producer has signed a deal with WarnerMedia -- one that spans many platforms.

This deal brings Bad Robot under an overall deal with WarnerMedia.

“It is a thrill for [Bad Robot co-CEO] Katie [McGrath], Brian [Weinstein] and me and the rest of our team at Bad Robot to call WarnerMedia our company’s new home,” Abrams said in a statement.

“[WarnerMedia CEO] John Stankey has a powerful vision for the future of WarnerMedia and is committed to storytelling that connects people around the world. We are excited and gratified to be a part of this new chapter under his and Ann Sarnoff’s thoughtful leadership."

"I could go on for hours, and probably will, about the extraordinary Peter Roth and the entire Warner’s television group, with whom we’ve worked for over a decade, and I’ve wanted to collaborate with Toby Emmerich and his team for as long as I can remember."

"I am grateful for the chance to write, produce and direct work for this incredible company, and to help create films and series with a diverse and vast collection of inspiring storytellers. We can’t wait to get started.”

No Mercy - The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 15

Over in the land of The Walking Dead, a brand new teaser for Season 10 has been unveiled.

We get our first glimpse at Alpha and Beta as they get all chatty about the end of the world.

“Now is the end of the world,” they say in what appears to be a prayer.

“We embrace all death. We love nothing. We fear nothing. “We are the end of the world,” they conclude. “We are free.”

Okay then.

As previously reported, The Walking Dead Season 10 debuts Sunday, October 6.

Queen Sugar Quotes

The players who got caught with the girl are just kids, coming straight out of high school. No home training, no life skills. We hand them millions of dollars and then say good luck. They marry riffraff. They live wild, now they're messing up our livelihood.

Nova: Be good.
Calvin: I won't tell you the same.
