Detective Chin Ho Kelly joined McGarrett’s task force team after having left the Hawaiian Police Force under the suspicion that he was taking bribes.
While he never did take bribes, many on the police force still treat him as if he had. He was recruited to McGarrett’s team for his knowledge and connections on the island.
