Nancy Botwin means well. She really does.

But ever since her husband died, Nancy has struggled to support her family. As a result, she turned to pot selling. While these seemed harmless - and amusing - for awhile, the lifestyle soon turned dangers.

Nancy got involved with the wrong crowd, culminating in her and her family's move to Mexico. Once there, in season four, Nancy got in even more over her head.
