I never thought of the Tasmanian Devil as a black caricature. The only thing that are in common are the behavior and color. However if someone where to see the Looney Tunes show no one would ever make the connection unlike watching a video about minstrelsy where it can be order to identify a black caricature it ha to mock African Americans and their features. In the clip the Tasmanian Devil has no features of a black person except that it is black. Also, in the video the Tasmanian Devil does not show anyway of portraying black people as foolish, silly, are mediocre. Lastly, the Tasmanian Devil represent a wild animal who wanted to eat Bugs Bunny only he ended up being tricked instead.
