Tom is probably wondering why Mr. Kaplan got him in this mess. His life was going so swimmingly, and then he was sucked into this. Maybe he should just dump the suitcase in the river.

Nik is a reasonable guy, and it looks like he's going to help Tom out. Either that or he's calling someone else to tell them what's going on. Like maybe Red?

The man knows people, criminals. He's plugged into a whole ecosystem of deviants. I have a hard time believing he's suddenly so compromised he can't be of help to us.
