You are right Jonathan but that is not the only way, if you get bit, you eventually turn in Walking Dead no matter what, yes everyone is incubating the disease but that wasn't from the start, it was only some time into the series that everyone actually had the disease, but if you get bit in the show, you will eventually turn no matter what, dead or alive

your not realizing either that in the walking dead universe, everyone is incubating the disease, once they die it takes effect, it's not like the other types of zombie movies where one bite you become infected.
