Season 7 Episode 11: "True Genius"

Agent Prentiss: You are making a difference, you know. One person at a time.
Dr. Reid: Thank you. You know I've been thinking a lot lately about why I stayed after Gideon left, why I didn't take any of those other offers.
Prentiss: Nothing is accidental.
Reid:...And I realized, I don't know, there's just something incredibly right about being here. With you guys.

Agent Morgan: (holding photo) Look at this, another souvenir.
JJ: Well it's digital quality, it can't be that old.
Morgan: There's a void in the blood spatter pattern. It's a blow back shadow.
Agent Rossi: Somebody else was there.

Dr. Reid: He used the same code that was broken years ago in a riddle we cracked in seconds. He knew we'd crack it, it was a decoy.
Hotch: No, it's a taunt. He wants to prove that he's smarter than everyone.
Reid: And we fell for it. Well, if he's trying to compete with me then it means he's most likely within five years of my age. The question is why?
Hotch: But the message might not have been meant for you, Reid.
Reid: A letter was hand delivered to me last night!

Garcia (into phone): The Oracle is in, how may I assist?
Hotch: Garcia to what specific location does "magic city" refer?
Garcia: Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Reid: Ninety-eight minutes below the horizon, Garcia what time is sunset there tonight?
Garcia: 6:22.
Reid: Ninety-eight minutes there would be 8pm. What's dedicated to President Garfield in San Francisco?
Garcia: There's a statue of him in Golden Gate Park.

Dr. Reid: It's not the real Zodiac.
Prentiss: How can you be so sure?
Reid: I just know it. Sometimes I can't really explain it.
• Rating: Unrated
JJ: So how old would Zodiac be by now? The murders took place in the late...60s?
Garcia: Yeah, December 20, 1968 to October 11, 1969 to be exact. But he was suspected of other crimes and he sent letters and codes to newspapers until 1974.
Agent Morgan: Well at the very least the Zodiac would have to be about sixty by now.
JJ: Yeah but it doesn't take a lot of strength to pull a trigger.
Morgan: No, but it takes a lot of skill not to get caught for forty years.

Season 7 Episode 10: "The Bittersweet Science"

Hotch: Did Jimmy ever fight MMA?
Garcia: Nothing that's been documented.
Prentiss: Most old school trainers won't let you cross over.
Reid: Well if he got his trainer out of the way and was looking for more blood he might try that tonight. It's just about the most violent sport there is.

Agent Morgan: Penelope, how's the greatest computer tech this side of the Mississippi?

Agent Prentiss: We saw the bodies, all of them have stress breaks in the same places.
Agent Rossi: That's consistent with years of fight training.
Agent Hotchner: Fight training, you think he's a boxer?
Rossi: It makes sense, a fighter would have the endurance it takes to commit this kind of overkill on this many people with a pipe or with his hands.
Agent Morgan: It would explain why at the first crime scene he lined the bodies up in the corner, like in the ring.
Hotch: It makes sense about the blood lust, but what triggered the killings?
• Rating: Unrated
Agent Morgan: It could be overkill.
Hotch: But overkill usually means a personal relationship. If the victims didn't know each other, it's unlikely the UnSub knew them.
JJ: So what would account for this level of bloodletting?
Reid: The primal rage could be about the blood itself. If he's enjoying the killing then he's getting aroused by it and developing a kind of blood lust.
Morgan: Then why hasn't he done it again?
Hotch: Maybe he hasn't had the chance.

Dr. Reid: You know statistically, widowed men start dating much faster than females, but Hotch is refuting the data. It's been two years and nineteen days.
Garcia: Venus has aligned with Mars which means love is in the air and maybe we will have weekends off.
Agent Morgan: (clearing throat).
Garcia: What? Is he standing there? He's standing there isn't he?
Hotch: Hello Garcia.

Agent Rossi: Is she cute?
Agent Hotchner: Yes, she is but I need to be focused on my training. I don't need to be distracted.
Rossi: Yes, you should be. Distracted is good. What's her name?
Hotch: Beth.
Rossi: I like it. And, you know what they say about riding a bicycle.
Dr. Reid: Who's getting a bicycle?
Hotch: Nobody.

Season 7 Episode 9: "Self-Fulfilling Prophecy"

Strauss: I'm sorry, I just don't have the patience for this. He's clearly hiding something.
Morgan: All due respect, ma'am, have you been drinking?
Strauss: What? What are you talking about?
Morgan: Strauss we have one shot at this.
Strauss: You think I don't know that?
Morgan: Well if he smelled what I smell on your breath right now, the credibility of this investigation would be compromised.

Dr. Reid: A man like Massey sets rules but is the first to break them. He's left alone to run this kids lives but nobody questions him.
Garcia: Man, it sounds so sad and scary when you put it like that.
Reid: His policies are a combination of many other philosophies but I'm not sure where his actual leadership lies.
Garcia: I believe that it does. Lie, that is. It's a joke.
Reid: Oh, good joke.

Agent Rossi: Nothing was nice about that kid, it's like he strong-armed everybody.
Garcia: Well then the points are for bad behavior, only they're not calling it that.
Agent Prentiss: We should look at the points of everyone who died in those woods. My guess is they were all bullies.
Dr. Reid: Except for Josh.

Dr. Reid: You'd think the laundry room would be closer to the dorms.
Garcia: It's not in the basement?

Garcia: Yeah.
Agent Rossi: Leaves of three, let them be.
Garcia: Oh man, poison ivy, alcohol swab stat.

Agent Morgan: These kids are told what to say, what to wear and when to eat. This goes against the very nature of these boys. They're all looking for some type of control in their lives, and this place strips them of that.
Erin Strauss: And suicide is the ultimate power?
Morgan: Isn't it?
• Rating: Unrated
Dr. Reid: What drove them to suicide?
Strauss: A freshman cadet, Bailey Shelton, hung himself two weeks ago in his room.
Agent Hotchner: Identical bedsheet, hangman's knot.
Agent Rossi: Who takes bedsheets camping?
JJ: They would if it was the plan. Could be a domino effect.
Rossi: Campus would've been on high alert after the first one, so the kids wait until they're alone in the woods.
Morgan: They must've made some kind of pact.
Hotch: And there's something else. Six kids went on the trip, only five were found.

Rossi: Unless Monica could give him what he lost - another Hope. He didn't take Monica to remind him of Hope. He took her to recreate her.

Garcia: That's the girl Hope was playing with when she was abducted.
Prentiss: Yeah.
Rossi: The butterfly again.
JJ: "Without you she wouldn't have been set free. This is a token of my appreciation?"
Garcia: He sent a thank you card to the girl he didn't abduct?
