Criminal Minds Season 7 Quotes
Dr. Reid: You know these crimes seem to lack the emotionality that we typically see in personal cause homicides.
JJ: Most executions are criminal enterprise related.
Dr. Reid: But the probability of these couples being involved in the exact same illegal activity is kind of low.
Agent Morgan: There's no way these were random victims of opportunity.
Kevin: Look, I know you're Penelope's boo and she's your baby girl. And what I'm about to embark on involves the keen insight of somebody who knows her inside and out. And no matter how much therapy I've gone through trying to understand your relationship, I know you're that person.
Agent Morgan: OK Kevin, land your plane.
Kevin: I want to propose to Penelope, and I need your help.
Morgan: Julie Harmon was a sexual surrogate.
Prentiss: Whoah! Looks like somebody thought a little progressive prescription might fix everything.
JJ: Well they were wrong.
Morgan: So there's a third person involved. That rarely works, it's always two against one.
Reid: They'd have to trust one another completely, so what kind of relationship involves that dynamic?
Morgan: They'd have to be incredibly good friends.
Prentiss: Or blackmailing one another.
JJ: What if it's parents protecting their child? They raise them, they root for them.
Prentiss: They would share the same genes. Apples don't fall far from the tree.
Reid: A parent would hold themselves accountable, that explains the guilt.
Morgan: But what kind of sick family pulls this off?
Reid: One that's probably done it before.
Morgan: Due to the anger and inability to perform, those injuries are recent.
Reid: His explosive outbursts can be built from frustration that usually manifests from things out of one's control, like an accident.
Morgan: So let's go with that, I mean who ever is helping him has a definite loyalty. A responsibility even.
Hotch: The caregiver could've caused the impairment.
Rossi: He's the one who has shown remorse, and guilt. He might have a sense of morality.
Prentiss: If that's the case, the best way to break up a partnership is to drive a wedge between them.
Rossi: He's done this 3 times before, each victim left with $250. That's a $750 investment he didn't have to make.
Morgan: He has to have a chance to get that money back, but he buries it with them instead.
Prentiss: Could be an obsession, or a manifestation of his guilt.
JJ: Everything that happened post mortem, keeping them dressed, folding their arms, laying them to rest, it's all very nurturing. But the kills are the exact opposite, incredibly violent.
Prentiss: Multiple personalities?
Hotch: Or multiple UnSubs.
Reid: You know more often than not, prostitutes are murdered and dumped in the same area that they work.
Morgan: So then why take the extra time to drive 40 miles outside the city?
Reid: Maybe he's already up there. He picks them up outside town, takes them to a secondary location, kills them and gets ride of the body as fast as possible.
Morgan: Which means he lives nearby, in the suburbs.
Reid: With 76,720 other people.
Prentiss: It could be personal, there's a lot of rage in these kills. Multiple stab wounds.
Rossi: What about sexual violation?
Hotch: No, the ME report says there's not evidence of sexual activity before death.
Garcia: So what's he doing with them?
Hotch: That's what we need to find out.
Agent Morgan: Emily, I'm so sorry.
Agent Prentiss: Out there, in the field, sorry doesn't bring people back. (laughing) Come on, I'm messing with you. It's nothing, really. I'm OK, this isn't your fault.
Morgan: Actually it is.
Prentiss: You're a team leader. You made a tactical decision.
Morgan: And you got hurt. Again.
Prentiss: You did what you thought was right, and that's all you can do. The rest of it? That's not up to us. That's the job.
Garcia: He's a real estate lawyer who ran for city council last year and lost. And he's rich - as in if money were dirt, he's filthy. He quadrupled his net worth in the last ten years, mostly from real estate.
Dr. Reid: So he managed to thrive despite the recent economic downturn?
Agent Morgan: What do you mean by mostly?
Garcia: He is on the board of several shadow financial institutions. Hedge funds, pension funds, boy he likes to shuffle his money around. I even found some offshore accounts.
Agent Prentiss: You only do that if you're trying to hide it.
Agent Hotchner: Groups like the Aryan Nation believe that race war is not only inevitable but necessary.
Agent Prentiss: Our UnSub may be a member of one of these groups. Aryan gangs have a strong presence in prisons so he may be an ex-Con or even possibly related to a convict.
Agent Rossi: He may also be some kind of zealot. He believes his war is already being fought and these murders are a mission to him.
JJ: And like a soldier, he's willing to put himself in harm's way.
Dr. Reid: This wasn't a burglary at all, there's a higher purpose. They're staging the crime scene so that they can send some kind of message.
Agent Morgan: This guy's trying to make it look like black guys from the 'hood are killing white families in white neighborhoods.
Agent Prentiss: Pretty powerful message.
