Max earns money by doing drug trials to test for side effects and has plans to do another one.
Caroline is visited by her father's lawyer, Leo, because the prosecution wants her to give a deposition. She wants Leo to help her, but she can't afford his $1100 an hour fee. In order to earn the money, Caroline joins Max in the the drug trial and they take the additional $100 from the cupcake fund.
