Jenna takes on a challenge from Mr. Hart that involves her reading something emotional and personal at an open mic night. Jenna tells the story of losing her virginity to Matty, and Collin takes an interest in Jenna and her writing because of it.

Meanwhile, Matty and Jake aren't at the open mic because Jenna didn't want anyone to be there, and the boys make a bet to see who can go longer without talking about their respective girlfriends.

After her session, Jenna and Collin hang back and talk over coffee. When Collin puts his hand on Jenna's arm she feels an instant connection and chemistry with him causing her to have major doubts with her relationship with Matty.
