A nurse wants to hear about Vanessa's date with Randall. Vanessa says he ghosted her afterward so if she doesn't hear from him today she will just move on.

Scott has a baby with vomiting, distended stomach, etc. The parents are scared and Scott is hoping Marcel can help find a diagnosis. They parents are very young. The mother thinks she got the baby sick breastfeeding wrong. Marcel does an ultrasound and says the bowel is dilated, possible problem with the blood supply. So he has to do exploratory surgery. The baby is only ten days old.

Will is frustrated because his cousin is the latest person to try to hit him up for money when they never talked to him when he was sleeping on his brother's couch. Maggie is glad he said No. Will says no playing for him -- he is going to get out of debt and put m money in savings.

Surgery shows the baby's intestines are dead and must be removed.

Vanessa sees a patient who can'tt walk -- an Indian woman who stumbled on the way down the stairs. The woman's legs feel heavy and she can't feel her feet. She says she has a cousin with MS. Her daughter feels she doesn't know her. The woman apologizes for taking up Vanessa's time.

Marcel and Scott have bad news for the parents. Her small intestines have been removed and she needs a transplant but they need an infant donor, and those are in very short supply. Lucy realizes her baby could die.

A car accident victim. Went off the road during a foggy patch and now has glass in him and lots of injuries. He went through the windshield. Archer examines him. The EMT tells him the wife is still stuck in the car. Archer orders a chest X-ray and says a distended firm belly is a bad sign. BP dropping. Archer orders a transfusion. Xray is already up, Doris is getting a chest tube. Archer says they need to get to the hybrid OR.

Will sees a patient who is having breathing problems. He has been having issues ever since recovering for COVID a year ago.

Charles finds out that Sharon is going to be a grandmother. Also that Vanessa is dating Randall, who finally texted her back. Also, Abrams says that Mrs. Patel isn't neurological. He asks Charles to talk to her.

Archer tells Blake that Mr. Baker is braindead and an organ donor. Marcel comes down and seems upset about the baby but says he's fine. Mrs. Baker finally has been rescued and brought into the hospital. She is non-responsive. Archer discovers she is pregnant -- could the baby be a donor? She is 32 weeks pregnant. Archer tells everyone to be quiet so he can hear the fetal heart tones. Baby is okay,but what's going on with the  mother?

Charles tells Vanessa that Patel was resistant to any type of psychiatric treatment and didn't believe that her paralysis is psychological. The daughter shows up. She was talking to her fiance on the phone. He wants to come but it's an arranged marriage and she's never met him before so she doesn't know.

Vanessa is shocked by the idea of arranged marriage. Charles thinks this is common across cultures. Vanessa says blind dates are so stressful, how can  anyone do this? Charles realizes Mrs. Patel is taking the pressure on for her daughter.

Scott and Maggie work with a guy who was stabbed by his girlfriend and hates hospital.

Rosa is also braindead. The parents ask about the baby. Marcel says they won't know until the baby is born if it's okay. They can use steroids and c-section or wait and see. It's hard to say which would be better.  If Rosa decomepensates so does the baby. If they deliver now Rosa's organs would be donated and she would be taken off life support.  Rosa's father asks them to deliver the baby.

Will comeback with a pulmonologist. Dr Cook says the patient has fungal pneumonia and they need to do a CT. Hernadez hates CTs so Dr. Cook says they should skip it. Will agrees.

Charles comes to see Mrs. Patel again. He promises to be quick. He asks if she has other symptoms besides her legs being heavy. She has tingly feet on and off. It started around the time she started looking at bios of men to match her daughter with. Her husband is deceased and as the mother she is supposed to do this for her. She starts having a panic attack and says they can't get married.

Fetal heart rate drops. They need a neonatologist NOW. They start an emergency C-section. Marcel is watching and begging the baby to breathe.

Rosa's mother wants to name the baby Tyler. The doctors try to explain that the baby is dead. The parents want to wait a little longer. Sharon says to give them space for now. Marcel is upset and says it's been a hard day.

Will is looking at apartment buildings. Jay wants him to get into real estate. Maggie says it's better than cannabis club. She tells him to go check out the building.

Scott wants his patient to allow a surgeon to take a look at the wound from the inside.  He gets a text and takes off.

Scott meets Melana outside. She says she needs that patient discharged. Scott wants to know why but she won't tell him. Eventually she tells him the guy is undercover and she needs him tonight or she will lose her case. Scott doesn't believe that she hates putting him through this.

Charles tells Mrs. Patel's daughter that her mother has a conversion disorder and is stressed out about the marriage. She is conflicted about it and Charles says that figuring out why is crucial in treating her mom.

Maggie says Stefan will have the surgery. Scott tells Stefan he changed his mind. Maggie asks Scott what that was about. Scott asks her for the discharge papers.

The Prices want to see Sharon. They said they just said goodbye to the baby. The mother says she thinks Jack and Rose would want to donate the baby's organs.

Will comes back and says the building is too much of a gamble for him. He finds out that his patient's condition has worsened. He feels guilty about not getting that CT. Dr. Cook says he's the one who nixed the scan.

Melana thanks Scott. He wants her to bring the patient back if he gets sick. Also what's her real name? She promises when the case is over she'll tell him.

Marcel tells Blake that the baby's intestines are a match. He wants to do the surgery himself. He has to, it's personal.

Varsha wants to talk to her mom. Please tell her why she doesn't want this marriage. Mrs. Patel was unhappy in her arranged marriage and is terrified her daughter will suffer the same fate. Varsha says then why did you propose an arranged marriage? Mrs. Patel didn't know anything else. However, Varsha wants to go through with the marriage anyway.

Rudy has more damage to his lungs because of COVID. The lung cavity is treatable, however they would have to remove part of the lung. Rudy is scared of the surgery but decides to take a chance.

Marcel begins the surgery.

Vanessa asks Varsha why she is going through with the marriage. Varsha has tried dating and didn't like it. This is another way to the same end. She's excited to meet her fiance in person for the first time.

Surgery goes well. Kayla will be okay. The Prices want to meet Kayla.  The grandparents hug Kayla's parents. Sharon says this looks like a brand new family.

Will finds out his offer has been accepted. He changed his mind and is buying the building. Rudy is asking for him. It turns out that Rudy freaked out and decided not to have the surgery. He's not a spur of a moment guy. There's no reason not to play it safe. Will is glad he could help.

Charles tells Vanessa that Mrs. Patel is doing well now. Also the divorce rate for arranged marriages is far less than for other marriages. Vanessa is deleting her dating apps. She has another date with Randall, though she's not sure if it's a date or not.

Stefan has been shot. Scott says to himself he shouldn't have let him go. Maggie asks who is this guy to him.

Blake finds Marcel on the roof. She says he was really dialed in. He says the case hit close to home. He tells her about his daughter

Charles meets Lani. He gives her a box of chocolates. She hopes there are some caramels.

Archer disagrees with Sharon about her choice for an OBGYN attending. It's Asher, with a different hair color and style.  Archer asks her if she is sure that Med is the right place for her. She says she is committed to her sobriety. Sharon welcomes her back.
