Recap

This week, House treats a patient that is far too charitable for his own good, so House must go on the assumption that his generosity means that he is sick.  Wentworth Miller portrays the patient of the week on this House episode.  As House, Dr. Park, and the latest addition to House's team, Dr. Adams, race to treat the patient, Thirteen is summoned by House as he tries to put his team back together.  This week explores the idea of whether gifts can be selfish and if there is such a thing as giving too much.

In Olivia Wilde's last episode, she tells House that she is only there because she feels guilty about throwing away her gift of helping others just to have fun. In the end, the patient is diagnosed with a disease that actually does have something to do with his generosity.  House applauds him for not giving him his money and for choosing his family over suffering strangers.  House also fires Thirteen, knowing that what she wants is actually a healthy relationship and perhaps a healthy ending to her life.   Thirteen exits the show and House is left to ponder what might make his new life better.
