The discovery of Sam's remains puts everyone on edge. When Hannah finds out that Sam has been murdered, she immediately pegs Annalise as the killer. 

After refusing to talk to the police, Annalise goes to the Lombardo family, her longtime client and asks to try their case. Paul Lombardo is being brought up on drug charges, but it's soon discovered that someone has set him up.

The students find out that the employee that picked Lombardo's container out to be randomly searched quit his job two days later and lied about his whereabouts. When he is called to the stand, he points out the opposing Prosecutor as the one who approached him to lie. 

Hannah goes to the police and asks them to search Annalise's house, claiming that Annalise had threatened Sam in the past. The cops do a thorough sweep of the house, but aren't able to find anything. 

Bonnie reviews Sam's autopsy report and she goes to Annalise to tell her that she knows the students are behind Sam's murder. She also knows that Annalise is helping them cover it up and she urges Annalise to look out for herself. 

Once Annalise finally talks to the police, they tell her a ring was found in the woods. The ring they found belongs to Sam and there is a fingerprint attached to it. The fingerprint belongs to Nate and he is arrested for Sam's murder.
