Recap

A woman comes into a bar. She's just broken up with her boyfriend. The bartender takes a break from serving her to yell at some guy who is with his sister. Later, he offers to take her home. He kisses her and she says she should call it a night. He follows her outside and calls her a bitch when she won't take a ride from him.

The woman is walking through Central Park drunk. It is raining .Someone hits her and knocks her out, then drags her away. Later, hoer body is at the bottom of a cliff area.

Rollins tells the uniformed cops to tape off the whole area. She seems upset and says the storm meant she didn't get a lot of sleep because of scared kids and a scared dog.

The victim wakes up but is too out of it to tell Benson her name. McGrath tells Benson that they need to get results ASAP because a rape in Central Park looks bad.  Benson tells Fin she can't stand the politics in this job.

Makayla is awake. She never saw the rapist. She was walking home and got hit in the head. Her boyfriend dumped her by text from LA so she went for a drink. She paid with her phone so she can show Rollins the receipt. She tells Rollins the bartender gave her shots on the house. She guesses he thought she owed him.

The bartender denies he works at the bar when he sees the cops but they don't believe him. His sister asks if this is about the girl in the news. The bartender gets frisked since he's uncooperative and they find drugs so he's arrested.

He insists he didn't hurt the girl in the bar. Security footage shows that he followed her outside. He claims he went home after the girl left. He lives with his sister in their parents place, and he wants a lawyer.

Demmy hesitates when questioned, then admits Dustin wasn't there when she got home. She got up at 3 AM and heard him in the shower. She figured he got caught in the rain as his clothes were all muddy. She wants to talk to Dustin.

The cops get a search warrant. They find a gun in Dustin's dresser drawer and Kayla's wallet under the bed.

McGrath is thrilled that they have such a strong case against Dustin. He wants Benson at a press conference. A cop says there is a call for Benson from someone who has info about the case. They record the call from an anonymous source who says Dustin is innocent and knows about the folded jeans. He has another victim. He won't tell them more and hangs up.

It's possible that Dustin is innocent. Rollins says the phone number was traced to a truck stop in Kentucky. They call the local sheriff, who has found a young girl sexually assaulted in the woods by where the call came from. Benson wants to send two of her detectives. The sheriff is happy for their help as state police are busy with a school shooting.

Dustin insists he didn't follow Kayla to the park. He admits he had a business deal. After being promised immunity he admits he had a coke deal with some bangers. He didn't tell them about Kayla.

In Kentucky, the police ciheif offers Rollins coffee. The victim has a concussion but no permanent damage. He's known the victim all her life. Her boyfriend was just deployed.

The cops talk to the victim. She doesn't want her boyfriend to know. Rollins promises they won't tell anyone.  Shay says the person wasn't from around here but dragged her to a place where kids go to mess around.

The cops talk to Demmy again. They ask if she brought someone home. She says she can never do that. She has her cab receipt. Rollins calls so the cops excuse themselves.

Rollins tells them that the suspect is involved in rapes going back to 2001. Dustin was only 7 then so it wasn't him. Benson realizes the rapist has been getting away with this for 20 years.

McGrath is happy that so many people are getting involved in the case. However he wants it out of the press that Dustin has been released.

Benson says the rapist has been going from one small town to another. He follows the interstates so he is a trucker or traveling salesman. DNA shows he is Caucasian and they have his voice from the phone call.

Kayla is called back in to listen to the recording of the call and see if she can ID him. She says there was a guy hogging the jukebox and insisting on playing country western all night.

The cops go to Demmy again who doesn't want Dustin to know she's showing them security footage. They find the country western guy on the footage. They see the guy waiting as Kayla crosses the streets. No one can ID the guy. Benson realizes that they need to find attempted rapes, not completed ones.

The cops meet with a woman named Raelynn who was not taken seriously when she reported an attempted rape. She says she was hit from behind but came to during the assault and fought the guy off. Fin asks her to look at photos. Benson promises she will keep looking for the man who did this to her. Raelynn IDs the suspect. She suddenly remembers his wife yelling at him and calling him Wes. His daughters were planning a birthday party for him.

Benson joins Fin in a car during a rainstorm. Rollins has found a potential suspect. He lives in PA.

Wes' wife wants to know what's going on. They have been married 22 years and she doesn't understand this. He drinks and gambles when he's on the road but nothing major. She tells them where he goes to gamble.

Benson tells a cop on duty to hold off as they want to get him to talk pre-arrest. Benson approaches him and pretends to be a gambler. (He doesn't recognize her despite having called her) He tells her he got caught in the storm. He thinks she looks slightly familiar. What did she say she did? Benson arrests him and he says he knew that was going to happen.

McGrath is pleased with the headlines. He tells Carisi not to drop the ball. Carisi tells Rollins that he doesn't think he can make this case when the wallet was in Dustin's room. Carisi wonders if Demmy knows something. Rollins gets a call. Demmy has been beaten up and was naked. She says it was all her fault.

Rollins tells Benson that Demmy won't tell her who raped her but agreed to a rape kit. Benson goes to talk to Demmy but she won't talk to them when they let "him" go. They think Dustin did it and wonder why Demmy put the wallet in his room. Dustin is not going to go to prison for raping Kayla so she needs to talk to them. Demmy says she saw Dustin with Kayla and had a bad feeling. She found the wallet in the park and thought Kayla was dead. She panicked and ran away. She thought Dustin did it and was scared to call the cops so she put the wallet in his room. She thought Dustin did it because he always gets what he wants. He treats her like his beck and call girl. She wanted him out of her life. He has been abusing her since she was 12. She didn't tell anyone.

Dustin has been arrested for drugs. Meanwhile Wes is being interrogated and claims that call could have been anyone. They have a lot of evidence. Rollins says he didn't like it when they arrested the other guy so now he needed to tell people who he really was. He says he took what he wanted because he could.  He hopes that this is being recorded so that his story can be on Netflix.

Dustin's lawyer is confused by what's going on. He insists it's not rape because they raised each other and needed each other. He says she wanted it.  Benson is disgusted and leaves the room.

McGrath goes on TV with Benson to have a press conference about arresting Wes. Fin says McGrath got his win. Rollins says we all did. Benson acknowledges Fin and Rollins in her speech to the press.

Fin: Let's just get this guy.

Carisi: This guy's rap sheet looks like the ABCs of crime. Assault, battery, coercion...
Fin: We can add D for drug possession.
Carisi: And he initially waived Miranda? Is he that dense?
Fin: He said the only Miranda he needed was a girl on her knees.
Benson: So the answer is yes, he is that dense.
