At a party a girl hits on a player and his manager saves him and they leave the party. They leave, but they get shot at and the car crashes into a tree.

Rian is worried about her mom not working.

Riggs spent the night with Agent Palmer. He's in Dr. Cahill's office talking about not drinking and his relationship with Agent Palmer. He blows up when Dr. Cahill presses.

Riggs and Murtaugh are the crime scene. They visit the football player in the hospital.

Avery wants Murtaugh to know everything about the player...whether or not he can play football again. Murtaugh also fills him on on case details. And then asks Avery about how long he can be a cop now that he's the primary breadwinner.

Riggs and Murtaugh question students at the college where the player goes. They end up at a frat party looking for their suspect. The kid sees them and takes off. Riggs catches him and they fly out the window crashing onto a ping pong table.

Riggs is questioning Carson about the football player. He gets interrupted by Scorsese who has information about forensics.

Murtaugh is questioning the football player. He shares his football story with the kid. Riggs is outside talking to a young kid about a guy named Benny who knows Jesse. Riggs challenges Benny and gets punched in the face. He loses a tooth. This is how he deals with being in love with Agent Palmer.

Murtaugh gets a job offer from the recruiter at the college to be head of security. He shares the info with Trish.

Riggs is at his place listening to a message from Agent Palmer. He's conflicted about his feelings for Palmer and searches his place for booze and drinks to make the conflict go away. Then he feels guilty about that. He doesn't like what he sees in the mirror.

Riggs sees the recruiter and Murtaugh having dinner and barges in. The recruiter leaves. Riggs tells Murtaugh that Hancock is a suspect. That he met with Benny.

Murtuagh comes into the office the next day not happy at all. He's upset about Riggs ruining the interview. Avery calls him into his office to question him about his job interview. 

Riggs is at the college questioning Hancock. Murtaugh talks with Jesse's mom about money. Jesse confronts his mom then confronts Wendell whose gang proceeds to beat him up.

The gang takes Jesse to the stadium to throw him off the roof, but he gets away. Riggs and Murtaugh arrive and save the day.

Trish says she's going to go back to work. Dr. Cahill talks with Riggs about Palmer.   Riggs visits Palmer at her hotel room.
