After his two daughters prod him about getting a girlfriend, Louie attempts to take his ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with fellow comedian Maria Bamford to the next level but is roundly rejected and forever dismissed.
His insistent search for a serious mate leads to a cute and insightful bookstore clerk (Parker Posey) who appears to give mixed signals but will Louie’s defeatist attitude sabotage his efforts yet again?
