Months before she disappeared, Hetty gave Eric a copy of "The Red Badge of Courage," which he just recalls in a dream. He calls in Nell. Using a red-beamed flashlight, they found words circled in the text. Hetty is acting demented to foll Spencer Allen, whose country has bought her from Dang, but the ruse fails. Hidoko cracks the code which reveals that Hetty is in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Allen has Harris Keane brought in and shoots him to get Hetty to talk. Sam and Callen visit a smuggler, Billy Van, to lean on for information on Hetty. Mosley is upset that everyone has taken off on her, keeping her in the dark. Eric and Nell discover AJ Chegwidden and Charles Langston are in a bar in Ho Chi Minh City, and Deeks calls a cell phone there. But they take off. Dang puts a hungry tiger in the cell with the injured Keane. Hetty says she'll cooperate. Despite being shut out, Mosley gets them flights to Vietnam. They still have precious little information about what Hetty is up to. Hetty quits stalling after Allen threatens again to feed Keane to the tiger. Callen and Sam talk to a former NIS agent who assisted on Hetty's mission 50 years ago, but he doesn't have much new information. Sam, Callen, Deeks and Kensi head to Vietnam. Hetty tricks Allen and bit off his ear.
