A bigger mystery develops when they discover that they were manufacturing fake military IDs, ones so good that they could gain access to military bases all over the world. The investigation leads them to one base in particular, where a gang member was using the access to take photographs and even steal a crate of very dangerous weapons. Perhaps more worrying, and perplexing, is the revelation that he was taking pictures of a ten-year-old girl from El Salvador, who was part of a group of children detained without parents by ICE. NCISl, concerned about the girl's safety, decides to take her into protective custody while they work out exactly what interest La Vida Mala might have in an orphaned girl. In the meantime, they must also recover the stolen weapons and discover how the gang is moving its loot around.
