When farming fails, Nick takes Winston's advice and revisits one of his past failures, Caroline, for another shot. As a result, the two get back together. This angers Jess who thinks Nick isn't living up to his potential, and the two fight it out.

Afraid of her feelings for Schmidt, CeCe encourages him to go on a date with her Russian model roommate Nadia. The date ends with Schmidt in the hospital. This forces CeCe to confront and confess her feelings for him and the two officially embark on a relationship together.
