On this week's Person of Interest…

Reese and Carter head to Texas to follow up a lead on Root's potential background, Hanna Frye. Fusco stays behind to dog-sit Bear, follow up on the Alicia Corwin case, and who's been trying to mess with it.

Alicia used to work for Denton Weeks, the man who Finch sold the machine to. Root has captured him and is holding him hostage along with Finch.

Finch manages to team up with Weeks, but Weeks just wants to control the Machine, thus proving Root's theory that all people are just bad code.

Root kills Weeks.

Reese and Carter discover that Hanna was murdered by a local accountant, therefore she isn't Root. The real Root is her friend Sara, the girl who witnessed Hanna's kidnapping.

Reese is able to trace the clues back to Root's location. Root attempts to shoot an innocent man, but Finch knocks her out of the way. Reese saves Finch and Root escapes.

Root calls Reese telling him that she will be back when she's ready.
