On this week's Person of Interest…

The Machine comes up with Wallace Nagel, an alias for Auric Kohl, a spy from the 1980s.

Kohl is killing members of his old German Stasi Secret Police team. His team traded Auric in order to receive new lives in America.  Auric and his wife, Anja, ran to the Soviets but Anja was killed.

Kohl is out for revenge for the death of Anja. Except, it turns out Anja is alive and faked her death after she learned of all of Kohl's assassinations.

Kohl captures Reese and interrogates him. He finds a picture of a girl and learns that he has a daughter.

He also learns that Anja told their daughter that he was a hero and not a killer. Reese shoots Kohl when Kohl raises his gun at Anja. Reese finds the gun empty and learns that Kohl wanted to be killed after he was able to see his wife and daughter one last time.

Carter and Fusco manage to track Kohl and Reese but show up to the park too late.

A flashback shows Reese's introduction and initiation to the spy world. He learns that killing for his country is a good thing and he must forget his past. Turns out John Reese is really an alias.
