When Daisy isn't spending her time working, she's attending to the needs of the people around her. Even as she tries to save up money to go to the music conservatory, she attempts to follow her dad's wishes.
Unfortunately, his bitterness towards his wife causes tension in the family. He doesn't want Daisy to pursue a musical career.
She has emotionless sex with Abbud.
In the end, Daisy doesn't go through with the music audition. Instead, she uses her saved money to buy her father a new piano. The two of them play their instruments together.
